gfNDfan Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Marilyn epitomized what a local writer could bring to a local newspaper with her character. Sometimes brilliant - sometimes cringy but always authentic to Grand Forks - even when she went down to talk to the river in the spring or various tools left in her post flood cleared out basement. She also always posted the local health reviews of restaurants - DAMN I miss that! She was funny, quirky and weird but we liked her. !@#!$ of the Forum to kick her to the curb in her later years but she did live a good life and she will be missed. So sad GF has no local media voices anymore. The last bastion of "local" radio on KNOX is a joke...negative nelly hosts and the same 10 callers all the time - BORING! 2 Quote
