JESUS,family, rutgers
One of the nice Fighting Sioux fans on the site sent me last Sunday's paper and I read that North Dakota has the most national wildlife refuges in the country. What is your favorite state park or wildlife refuge in North Dakota? dagies
North Unit of the Badlands. Great beauty.
nodakvindy
I grew up near Audobon refuge, so I'm partial to that. As for State Parks, I love Turtle River. Just a short trip from Grand Forks, but a great escape. Have taken some great photos out there, especially during the fall colors.
dakotadan
Lake Zahl National Wildlife Refuge. Zahl, ND I grew up on a farm right by Zahl, went to school in Grenora, right in the middle of the Hanks Hills.
Goon
I like the Badlands in Medora, going out there this season to hunt mule deer. I just think God blessed this part of the country, like almost a prize winning post card or picture, the area around Rapid City, SD is almost as beautiful. I also like Aubobon out by cole harbor. What an awesome part of the state also.

BigGame
It really depends on what you are looking for. I had a lot of fun in high school bow hunting the lake darling refuge, but I think parts of Salyer are actually better.
sprig
Some of you hit close to home. Of course the Badlands and TR are National Parks, rather than refuges. http://deslacs.fws.gov One of the most unique and productive marshes anywhere in the PPR. Goon
Thanks for the map quest I never thought of that one. So from the looks of it Zahl and Grenora are in the NW part of ND below Crosby. Hum, If I am not mistake there are a few birds to be had out there too.
