Everything up to this point on DuPont is conjecture. His recruiting process will look similar to McKennas with less hype. I expect UND to be in his top 3/4 but on the outside looking in when it comes down to his final decision.

Side note, the McKenna/Penn State saga has definitely made Verhoeff’s decision look better and potentially benefits UND in future recruiting battles for similar talents. I just don’t see that player being DuPont next year for UND.

So I guess that confirms it's not DuPont. Is it a forward or a D? Can you provide that info? I think it's safe to say we all are hoping for an elite forward!

Others have stated that Carson Carels is silently committed. From what I know, there is some level of truth to that. I do not know if he is silently committed or not, but I can confirm that UND would be the destination if he leaves the CHL as of now. I do not want to be reckless on here with what I say. I am just building off of what others have said as well. I do not know anything about other targets, like DuPont, outside of what is public knowledge.

Anyone know if we are in on Fitzhenry? I'm sure Bryn has put in the work but just wondering if he is considering UND? I know Western Canada/CHL is going to be our main recruiting ground but sure would love to be in on the top US players/NTDP as well. As has been mentioned on here, there are some studs coming up in the next few recruiting cycles specifically with Minnesota ties.

Not the most scientific approach, but it appears he follows Minnesota and Michigan on Instagram and not us. Can't say I'm surprised. We don't tend to get players with his profile much anymore

I would guess Chyzyk/Jackson have made contact, but there's no indication that North Dakota is or isn't one of the favorites for Fitzhenry.

All insinuations have been that the recruiting strategy would be 60% CHL (most of which would be in the Dub due to Western Canada proximity and historical ties to the program, and 40% US (most of which would be Minnesota, North Dakota/Upper Midwest).

A large majority of the current commits are from the States, although many of them committed before the rules change in November 2024.

Saw him and Dane Jackson both follow each other though for what it's worth

Fitzy is a great kid and an unbelievable hockey player.  I gotta believe the ball is in his court for wherever he wants to play.

Some GPLers were speculating (or have inside info) that Fitzhenry & Schneider's advisors have told them to delay committing to wait and see what the landscape will look like. Would assume this means regarding potential NIL opportunities as well as the direction of Minnesota's program, assuming they're pretty interested in the Gophers
