Sorry if this has been posted already but Schlossman of the Heraldo put this in today's paper...thought it was pretty funny.

UND radio analyst Darrin Looker dropped the phrase of the night in regards to the major power play, where UND scored three times in the five minutes. Because major power plays don't expire after a goal, they're sometimes referred to as "all-you-can-eat power plays." Looker said Minnesota Duluth gave UND an all-you-can-eat, "and UND showed up in sweatpants."

Wish they would just show up in sweatpants for every power play.  It sure makes their stats look a lot better than they were for the second half of the season, but they need to be consistently scoring each game on the power play in order to keep winning games, especially this weekend.  Not only that, they need to continue to be aggressive outside their power plays to draw more penalties.  The disparity in power plays between us and the opposition has to change.

Yeah, only getting a couple power plays a game isn't a recipe for success.

Copyright to Dave Starman for the "All you can eat", he's used it for years.

Was going to mention (and forgot until now) that I attended the Saturday night game and noticed that UMD never opened the doors to their bench.  All line changes, during play and while play was dead were made over the boards.

Is this common or what would the purpose of this be?

Alternatively, UND's changes were generally onto the ice goes over the boards, coming off the ice goes through the doors.

Neat observation and probably comes down to preference, maybe even the way lines are changing?  If you're rolling 4 lines seems more logical to use the door as it's a true rotation of players but if you're leaning more heavily on the top lines and the 4th line is sitting longer maybe over the boards makes more sense?  I'm just throwing things against the wall.
