I have to agree with Wodon and say that wcommittee needs to make tough decisions and not be strictly by the PWR. CC should have been in, and Providence should have been out just by their records vs teams in the NCAA tournament. CC was not a victim, based on the criteria they didn't qualify for tournament. 2

Best thing about Hockey NCAA Tournament is that the the options of the Committee members don't matter when it comes to who is in and who is out. If you are the 1st team out you have nothing to complain about. You had numerus chances to get get in. Learn your lesson and play better from the beginning of the year next year. Exactly, the last thing you want is bias to creep into what should be a totally impartial process. Let a team's body of work be the judge, not some guy who has an agenda. UND needs to be on their A-game in a 6-game stretch when they play Robert Morris, Bemidji & Miami..a loss against one of them will drag them down a lot. Crush the plebs & strive for a split or better against those in the royal court. 2

Normally Miami is good for a "scare" game where they play well against us...like the OT game last season after we crushed them the other games. But they have looked absolutely awful so far this season. BSU is tough because they play that damn trap defensive game and we are their world series each season. But agreed...we need to take care of business against those three teams all in a row, especially if we have a couple more hiccups against Cornell, Duluth, and Denver. SiouxFan100
Why aren’t the Duluth games on midco? At least the UND calendar doesn’t list them

If you would have told me we'd be 3-2 going into the Cornell series when this schedule first came out with Providence, Mankato, and BU to start, I think I'd be happy with that. Not perfectly happy, but certainly not mad about it. I thought that .500 after ten (or eleven) games would be OK. Not great but acceptable. A 3-2 start against three ranked teams, one being No. 3 in the country, I'm not upset about it. I agree. I’ll take a 3-2 start against some of the best college hockey has to offer over say, CC’s 4-0 start. So far, home against NMU and two on the road at Anchorage. No disrespect to those programs and credit CC-you play who’s on your schedule but given their non-conference opponents this year, they better hope to win most if not all their games against some very low ranked teams or it could hurt them down the stretch if they find themselves on the bubble. UND’s schedule is as we know just absolutely brutal but hopefully it is preparing them well and setting them up for success as they enter difficult league play.
InHeavenThereIsNoBeer
One thing I've learned from previous seasons is the teams that play the hard schedules in the beginning of the year grow at a much quicker rate than those that don't. And it shows itself in spades come NCAA tourney time. I'm not as concerned about UND's record through the first 10 games(to a point obviously, I'd panic if we were 2-8) as I am about seeing the team develop and find an identity.
