Upper Deck Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 For us poor @#$%^&* not going to Columbus, is anyone planning on going there Thursday and (probably) Saturday night? I plan to hold at least one table. I know there will be Goph fans there (re: GPL) so call and get a table or show up early. They show the games in HD, too.
Jupiter Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 I know there will be Goph fans there (re: GPL) so call and get a table or show up early. They show the games in HD, too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are correct.... Which will make it even more fun!!!
Fedorov Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 They show the games in HD, too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who is their source for ESPN2HD?
cheesemover Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 ESPN 2 is not available in HD yet from Time Warner & thats where I get ESPN HD and the local channels. I hope it will come online soon. Go Sioux <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And Saturdays game will only be available in HD if ESPN chooses to broadcast it in HD. BTW, if it is, and you haven't had a chance to check out HDTV, you are in for a treat. Of the major sports, hockey benefits the most from the improved picture.

DMT Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 All three games will be in HD, but Thursday is on ESPN2HD and that channel is very rare to find right now. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> OK, I have to ask...what is DMB and where is Alpine Valley?
Fedorov Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 OK, I have to ask...what is DMB and where is Alpine Valley? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> DMB = Dave Matthews Band Alpine Valley is in the southwest part of Wisconsin in East Troy. Even though REA specifically mentioned getting DMB when the building was near completion, I think their ability to attract good concerts is lacking.
jloos Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Alpine Valley is a crappy place to see a show. I'd be more jealous is you replaced Alpine with Red Rocks. Although just getting into a DMB show is something to be jealous of. I can't see Dave Matthews hitting up GF any time soon.
BigGame Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Is the Sioux/Gopher game on ESPN or ESPN2? According to my DVR it is going to be on ESPN.
GDM Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 A last chance to get there. http://siouxsports.com/forums/index.php?sh...indpost&p=99722 GDM Forums Moderator SiouxSports.com
Jackson Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Is the Sioux/Gopher game on ESPN or ESPN2? According to my DVR it is going to be on ESPN. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I believe both Thursday games are on ESPN2 while the title game is on ESPN.

Greyeagle Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 FYI, if you're at Sensors in Bloomington and intend to pound the heaters you will need to go outside.
MafiaMan Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 FYI, if you're at Sensors in Bloomington and intend to pound the heaters you will need to go outside. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There is indeed a God!
cheesemover Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 We will do our best to get sound of the game, since there is nothing else going on that evening. GO sioux Don't forget Joe Sensers in Eagan still allows smoking for those who need to smoke.

Although, you're right, Red Rocks is up there, as well, but it only holds 9,000 compared to about 25,000-30,000 at Alpine.

Fedorov Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 Yes, but alpine is "one of the top." <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I haven't been to either, which is why I am excited to see the best band there two nights.

cheesemover Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 For those of you attending the game at Senser's in Bloomington. The head chef has worked on the Sioux Grinders for several days now and we will be offering the Sioux Grinders during the game on Thursday and Saturday in Bloomington only when the Sioux play in the Champ game.
