Given the size of their investment, maybe (maybe?) ESPN will start giving college hockey better quality coverage. And maybe a herd of unicorns will appear in my backyard. However, I'm told the vote was unanimous (8-0), including Dartmouth and Yale voting in favor. That's significant because those schools do not have wrestling programs and have generally abstained from wrestling-related votes. However, they both have hockey programs. Could this signify a shift within the Ivy League as a whole? Were those votes a show of support for the Ivy League to consolidate in other sports (i.e., hockey)? We don't know.
