A shootout is a !@#!$ way to end a game of this magnitude. That being said, the U.S. outplayed Canada most of the game and especially in the O.T. They deserved to win this game. I hope the Lamoureux bashing ends here now. They have done North Dakota and the United States of America proud.

What was with the US coach? Why split the twins up in OT and then why not use them in the first 5 shooters? That’s just stupid.

Cough.....Gopher logic......cough.....

Agreed!  Shootouts, while inherently disgusting, are probably an efficient way to decide who gets the extra point in the regular season.  However, in a gold medal game, it's a frickin' joke to decide it this way.  Basketball doesn't have everyone line up and shoot free throws to determine the winner.  Come on!!!

Is team USA required to have a former UND player on their roster at all times going forward for key shootouts?  Simple question.

If the men's team had brough Wolanin with, they might still be playing.  #SimpleAnswer.

I saw Canada in total control up until that AWFUL line change that led to the game being tied.

USA owned the 3rd and OT.  Either way, doesn't really matter because they won.  (well, a shootout win)

If they were in total control, why did they only have a one goal lead up to that point?

Really?  You've never seen UND play better than their opponent but be losing the game?

Yeah, but in UND's defense the other team had the "hot" goalie. :)
