cberkas Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Sad to hear the passing of Butch, I always thought he was one of the better refs. It would be nice to see all the former and current WHCA teams wear something on their jerseys next season for Butch. 1 Quote

Even help with a USA Hockey officials exam question or 2 1 Quote
gsiouxo Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 No wonder everyone loved him... That is hilarious ... Loved the bottle incident .. Told the ref looks like pissed pants... 2 Quote
The Sicatoka Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Condolences to the family. Hockey lost a good one. 2 Quote
Sioux>Bison Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 That's about the worst news college hockey could get. I bet the WCHA will put something together to never forget a great official and mentor to the younger ones. I would like to see the current and former teams honor Butch also because of his service to not just college hockey but to all levels of hockey in North America. Condolences to his family and may his memory in our minds never fade. 2 Quote

keikla Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 I really like that all officials in the regionals are wearing '12' on the back of their helmets in honor of Butch. 3 Quote
