SWSiouxMN Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 One surprise score from yesterday was Idaho State pounding Idaho 71-50 at Poky. The Griz/UND matchup Saturday will be a good one, early season clash of the two preseason favorites. The re-emergence of Megan Lauck is just what the doctor ordered for this team. Now we have someone in our starting lineup with some length that can stretch the floor, and can rebound. She has shown she can take over parts of the game when needed. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 UND gets a big home sweep of the Montana schools, head out west to play Sac and PSU. They should be good for 2 road wins out there before a big test against UNC in 2 weeks. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 To be taken with a grain of salt, but still fun to look at: UND is currently projected as a 12 seed in the latest bracketology that ESPN put out today. Other area teams: Minnesota is a 4 seed NDSU is a 15 seed (they beat the Bunnies last night in Fargo for the 1st time in lord knows how long) Quote
UND92,96 Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 UND gets swept on the road, losing 73-70 at Portland St. Not a good week for UND basketball. Quote
nodakhoops Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 UND loses to Portland St. Not a good week for UND Hoops. Hate to say must wins next weekend, but it could be for both. Quote
UND Fan Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Nice comeback by the ladies in the 2nd half to win by 10 at UNC. They made 31 of 34 FT attempts - strong!! Quote
siouxjoy Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Nice comeback by the ladies in the 2nd half to win by 10 at UNC. They made 31 of 34 FT attempts - strong!! I only caught parts of the 2nd half, but it sounds like they lit it up from outside the arc, too. Quote
Teeder11 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 I only caught parts of the 2nd half, but it sounds like they lit it up from outside the arc, too. Siri and Lauck had a nice 2nd half from behind the arc. Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Zero forgot 10 on 3 pointers but still just behind by two. Just made one Quote
UND92,96 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Boy we suck at three point shots. Turnovers and wildly inconsistent 3-point shooting have been the primary weaknesses of this program for years. Even when there have been good 3-point shooters, more often than not they've been forwards (Moen, Boese, Youngblut, Buck, etc.). Recruiting guards who are well-rounded players who can hit the 3 fairly consistently has proven challenging ever since the Pudenz sisters graduated. Quote
Teeder11 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 58-54. UND. 4 minutes left. Evers ready to shoot and one. Quote
