WiSioux Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Saunders covers with 3:34 left in the penalty time Quote
burd Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Situations like this are good for the team at this point in the year. Although it was not an egregious hit, Schmaltz will learn to avoid that situation. Saunders will have to carry them for the next 4+ minutes, which he is capable of. If SCSU scores and the place starts to jump, the Sioux will have to learn not to panic and to come back. Good test. Quote
johndahl Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Well, this game is over. We're down a top pairing defensemen and SCSU has 4 and half minutes on a clean sheet. I guess if you guys don't care that it's based on a blown call, that's your problems. Isn't it still tied 1-1? I'm not sure I understand... Quote
tnt Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Not the least bit surprising call. You make that hit, borderline though it was, you expect that call. I expected to have that call last weekend when Gaarder got hit from behind, but then again, it was Sheppard officiating the game. Quote
WiSioux Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Saunders makes two big saves but can't control the puck Quote
bcblues Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Damn, kill the penalty then give up a goal. Quote
Wilbur Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Penalty, you bet. But if the play last night isn't a major then the play tonight isn't a major. How UND ALWAYS....and I mean ALWAYS ends up on the lesser end of these calls is besides me. I may sound like a homer fan, but its crap. Quote

bcblues Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Lets play down in their end for a while. Quote

Wilbur Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 And remember, Paukovich hit on Bina was a clean hit. And that official who was five feet away from that hit is the head of officials in the new league. Quote
johndahl Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Poor officiating and management of officials is one of the chief factors behind the demise of the WCHA. I suspect a lot of people will lose their weekend jobs when the NCHC begins play. Quote
Hawkster Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Things just aren't clicking the way I had expected tonight. Hmmmmmm. Quote
burd Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Questionable calls hurt, but SCSU is winning the races to the puck. That is not out of the Sioux's control. Quote
