108498 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 After looking at the voting site I found NDSU is in 10th place. Really sioux fans WE just turned a 3-8 year into a 8-3 year and took a shair of the confrence title. It is time the Sioux hockey fans, basketball fans, and all other fans join together and raise our coach to the top. Quote
dakotadan Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 This has absolutely NOTHING to do with NDSU. This is all about what Coach Mussman and his team have accomplished both ON and OFF the field! NAPERVILLE, Ill. – University of North Dakota head football coach Chris Mussman was named the Great West Conference Coach of the Year by his peers on Tuesday, while three of his players garnered spots on the coaches’ All-GWC first team. Six more Fighting Sioux were named to the All-GWC second team. Mussman led the Sioux to an 8-3 record and a share of the GWC regular season title (Cal Poly) a season after going 3-8 and going winless in the league. The five-game turnaround tied for the second best in program history. LANCASTER, S.C. - For the second day in a row, North Dakota head coach Chris Mussman was honored as the Great West Conference Coach of the Year. This time, the fourth-year head coach earned the distinction by media members, who follow the league’s five teams. Sophomore wide receiver Greg Hardin (Bellevue, Neb.) and sophomore running back Jake Miller (Bismarck, N.D.) were the only two Sioux players named to the media’s All-GWC first team, which was an honor both received by the league’s coaches as well. GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Fighting Sioux fans head coach Chris Mussman needs your votes! He is ranked just outside the top 15 in the 2011 Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year fan voting, but there is still time to cast your votes. Each of you can vote once a day, every day at www.coachoftheyear.com and help him jump into the top 15 and potentially advance to the finalist stage! This is something extremely small that we can do to show our support for our coaches and players. This isn't just about W-Ls but how the coaches and team represent their communities. Let's do what we can in this last week and try support our program into making the finalists. Go Vote HERE!!! (psst... if you have more than 1 computer in your home or office, you can usually vote off of all of them in the same day. But you didn't hear that from me!) Quote

siouxu31 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 So is this where we talk about the Sioux vs. AA hockey series this weekend? Quote
IrishSiouxFan Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 This is embarrassing, we can do so much better than 847 votes Why isn't the UND associated social media pages, or the institution doing anything to get people to vote. We could win this thing easily, or at least blow NDSU out of the water. Quote

Neither does Bohl. I'd give it to the Towson guy. They were supposed to be pretty awful this year and they did very well for themselves. Quote

darell1976 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 I just voted for the day. 7 votes from taking over #14. Quote
siouxu31 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 What a stupid way to pick a coach of the year. A popularity contest. Whichever coach's fan base has fans with the least amount to do with their free time wins. 1 Quote
IrishSiouxFan Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 There are division 3 schools with way more votes than us, we honestly shouldn't be having this problem. Why aren't more UND fans voting? Quote
