yzerman19 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Mandi Schwartz, sister of the dynamic duo from CC- Jaden and Rylan, passed away this morning. Her untimely and tragic passing should give us all pause to reflect on what's truly important in life. I am sure that I speak for the entire WCHA family when I wish the Schwartz family peace and comfort during this most difficult time. 1 Quote
farce poobah Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I second that emotion. Far too young, far too much promise. Simply tragic. Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I third the emotion. May God be with them during this time. Mandi fought the hard fight and cancer won again. This truly reminds us what is important in life. Quote
The Whistler Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Sad, I hate young funerals whether I knew them or not. Quote
coach daddy Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 RIP in Mandi. Sorry to the Schwartz family for their loss. Sports and Nicknames seem trivial today. Bless the family. Quote
Sioux-cia Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Rest In Peace,Mandi. Condolences to her family and friends. Quote
Runninwiththedogs Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Mandi's story made me root for Jaden and Rylan. Look at the performance they put in just over a week ago. Totally inspired by her, I have no doubt. I rarely, rarely comment on the passing of people I don't know, but her story touched my heart. Great idea to start a thread, Yzerman. I am hoping there will be a mention of her at the Frozen Four, perhaps a moment of silence. Quote
Wilbur Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Cancer takes another victim far too young to leave us this early. Prayers to the family and RIP Mandi. Quote
siouxfan17 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I am deeply saddened to hear this. May she rest in peace, and my thoughts and prayers are for the Schwartz family. Quote

Sioux-cia Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I have always meant to get tested and register as a bone marrow donor but put it off due to time constraints. I'm going to find the time and hope that many of you do as well especially if you're a minority. Quote

Mandi did find a donor but it was very difficult as they had a very mixed ancestry. Quote
ringneck28 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Lord, put your hand of comfort upon this family. Quote
