Add Cooper Williams to the commits that are on the injured list, joining McKamey and Schultz.
UND forward recruits having a tough start to the season.  Hopefully they all heal up quickly and can get back out on the ice.

Wonder how long McKamey will be out. Was listed as "month to month" in September

Last update I heard was around Christmas time. So he’s got a couple more months…he’ll miss about half the season more than likely.

The McKamey injury is an interesting situation. He had a solid year with exceptional status in the BCHL last year. He is committed to UND to come in for his draft year. Obviously he is a special talent but he clearly will not have a long run way to get ready for next season and make the jump to UND.

I still think he ends up coming next year for his draft year unless it is his choice to push back his arrival. Hopefully he plays well when he comes back and it makes the decision easy.

After being listed as week-to-week a last week, Cooper Williams was back in the lineup on Tuesday night. He picked up an assist and has been playing center this season, which I think is interesting.

Updated Commit Stats as of Oct 12:

  • Williams healthy again and had a nice couple games upon his return.
  • Lindberg already has as many goals this season as he did all of last year with the U18 team.  Hopefully going back a year will benefit him in the same way as Laurila.
  • Heil has been dominant in net to start the season.

Looks like McKamey is close to healthy since he made the team? (Tourney starts November 2nd) Noted Sioux game attendee Brock England is also playing for team Red

McKamey needs to get in Maddox’s ear about coming along to UND.
Could make a dominant line of ASchultz - BSchultz - MSchultz at UND in a few years. ;)
