sioux2013 Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 That really sucks for Goodman and the team. Did not realize his injury was so severe. Based on the time table they said he wont be back to 100% until October. Speedy recovery for Goodman and hopefully Wilmer will be back before they say. Go Sioux Quote

Go Sioux Is it possible that Wilmer could qualify for a medical redshirt year? Granted, in DI, his previous redshirt year isn't helpful in that end. Wilmer seemingly has more upside than any of the other sophomores. Seven footers aren't easy to find - and more difficult to recruit. Having him around another year could be important. Quote
bincitysioux Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Just taking a quick glance at realtimerpi.com............................South Dakota took a couple of tough losses this week to Longwood and to SIU-Edwardsville. Currently, North Dakota's RPI is actually higher than the 'Yotes............................ Quote
GeauxSioux Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 December 13th I commented that I was expecting more from Schuler. Since, then he has been Great West Player of the Week twice. Congratulations Josh! UND Men's Basketball Schuler Nets Second Great West Conference Player of the Week Honor Quote

Congratulations Josh! UND Men's Basketball Schuler Nets Second Great West Conference Player of the Week Honor It takes alittle time to adjust and the coaches were very patient with Schuler. Im very excited and impressed also with how Brekke has been playing. His early season injury really slowed him down to start the season but lately he has been a beast inside. At the midway point I give a very solid A to the freshmen and what they have accomplished so far. The last half we will see how much they improve and the future looks bright. Its time to see if anybody else on the roster is going to pick it up. Go Sioux Quote
sioux2013 Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 The sophs are a BUST and especially Schuler. Non factor(s) in the games I have attended (seen). Have you attended any games lately and do you still feel the same? Quote
dakotadan Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 The Big Sky Conference facebook page has a link to a neat BSC blog on North Dakota basketball history lesson. It talks about some of the athletes that have played DI basketball and other sports that have come out of North Dakota. The facebook page for the BSC is pretty good about posting game scores, updates and features such as this. So if you are on facebook you might want to add them. Quote

sioux2013 Posted January 31, 2011 Author Posted January 31, 2011 Congrats to Brekke for being voted conference player of the week. Thats the third time a sioux has been named player of the week. Keep it going boys. Go Sioux Quote

Also note on the ND BB History lesson story - Jon Kasper, BSC media chief is from Minot. Nice connection for UND to the Big Sky. He replied to an email back when UND was first accepted into the BSC that he was looking forward to having UND in the conference. Quote
UND92,96 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Just read an interesting tweet--UND gets 64.7% of its scoring from the freshman class, the highest % in dI. Quote

Yes, we are number 1 in the nation in something. That is saying an awful lot about these freshmen and what they have accomplished so far. You can see a big difference in these 5 players from the beginning of the year until now. They have weathered alot of storms and each one has gotten better in alot of areas. If they continue to improve and get support in the future years this could be a special group of players in UND history. Alot can change between now and when they are seniors but all 5 of these freshmen are on pace to score 1000 points for their career (Brekke has alittle catch up to do from a slow start). Think about it, an entire class in which all of them score 1000 points. Go Sioux Quote

Saw them play at UW earlier in the season and the change is remarkable. Adding Brekke's presence has no doubt been a big step, but Wilmer was getting better too b4 his injury. Would like to see them play the Badgers again just to see how far they have come. Nice group of young men. All the best to the guys for the rest of the season. Quote
