Goon Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Rock scores. 2-0 Weak goal by Kangas. All of them blue chippers and first round draft choices and none of them can play the body. They just let the DU guys take the zone and skate through unchallenged. Quote

brianvf Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Those two early season wins against Merrimack could prove to be quite beneficial if they keep beating top teams. Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I told people last weekend that Merrimack gave us more trouble than UMN. Quote
brianvf Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I told people last weekend that Merrimack gave us more trouble than UMN. That they did for the most part. Other than one period on Saturday night, UMN didn't play too well. Mack played us tough for 6 periods. Quote

Let'sGoHawks! Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 The gopher media, players, coaches keep talking about being tougher, winning the small battles. Well, walk the walk! I'm getting really sick of hearing about it. Quote

SiouxScore Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I don't know but I am not impressed with the players that Minnesota has. I think Minnesota is just having a slow start, with all the talent they have I still excpect them to be a solid contending team come playoff time Quote
dagies Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Watching the MN game was surprised at how little hitting their seemed to be. Did the teams want to contain the spread of Gwoz's swine flu? Unless, of course, Captain Lucia needed to hit another guy after the whistle who was just standing near the goalie. I guess they learned how to be tough in MN this summer. Quote

Sioux_Hab-it Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 gophs averaging 1 goal per game, solid That is rather shocking. It is easy to remember Goof teams in the past that couldn't keep the puck out of their net but I don't remember them ever having trouble scoring. Quote

It is easy to remember Goof teams in the past that couldn't keep the puck out of their net but I don't remember them ever having trouble scoring. Practicing against Kangas is probably a bad thing. If it's too easy to score in practice, it's going to be tough when you face a real goalie. Quote
