UNDintheNHL Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 Former Sioux in the NHL tonight.... Jonathan Toews: Chicago Blackhawks vs. Vancouver Cannucks @ 7:00pm ET Ryan Bayda: Carolina Hurricanes @ Anaheim Ducks @ 8:00pm ET Quote
UNDintheNHL Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Bayda notches his 2nd goal of the season, 2nd in 2 games, on a beauty of a no-look pass from Eric Staal, giving him a wide open net. Bayda is playing on that top line with Staal and Sergei Samsonov Quote
Smoggy Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Add to that Bayda got his first of the season vs. Greene and the Kings. I was at the game. Bayda also took a penalty in the third and it was against Greene. Greene was not happy. As soon as I had stepped out of the car I got compliments on my Sioux jersey. Also throughout the game. It was a popular item! Quote

I have a Hurricanes Commodore full authentic jersey from the cup year coming in the mail soon, and that will be my best and nicest jersey in my collection. Sure, I know he isnt on the team anymore, but that's what makes it nice to have! here is a shot from the Canes-Kings game the other night of Bayda tryin to put one in and here is one of him celebrating with Staal after his goal tonight that was on a sweet pass from Staal. he has been a freaking beast out there on the 3rd line for us so far this year. SO physical, and obviously a nice little scoring touch. Quote

UNDintheNHL Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Haha Darcy Tucker just slammed Greene into the glass, and it collapsed! They are talking up Greene, and just said the Drew Doughty is living with him. That is pretty cool. Doughty is the real deal. Quote
phriq Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 That is pretty gross! Eh, gross...yes. But he is just showing he's a big kid. I am sure most facebook proviles have some kind of picture that people could pull apart. Quote

WiSioux Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Oshie/Porter and the Blues against Detroit Tonight's game online Quote
redwing77 Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Parise had a goal and an assist today. Zajac had two assists in an old fashion beat down of Dallas. By the way: I think Brodeur may be a good goaltender. Toews had an assist thus far. Maybe more. His pass to Sharp was simply beautiful. Oh, and in less than pleasant news, Brian Lee was sent to the AHL today. Perhaps due to lack of playing time. I don't know... he hasn't exactly done much offensively. Quote
RedFrog Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Oshie with his first goal in the NHL in a great deflection. A shot from the point, deflected by Oshie off of the Red Wings Rafalski and into the net. He then had a chance on the door step to tie it, but just couldn't get it over Ty Conklin's left pad. He's getting tons of time on the PK and with Tkachuk/Kariya on the top line. CONGRATS OSHIE!! I have it on my DVR and will get it off and uploaded when I have time. Quote

So Kariya continues his point streak. 10 points in 10 games or something like that. For a UNH guy, Conklin really played well tonight. I still think Brodeur is far and away tops in net right now. Quote
31-9 Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Zajac is a beast. He played really well tonight. The 7 lbs Parise put on also seems to be helping him, unlike the effect that weight gain appeared to have on say Bochenski or Jamie Lundmark. Oh, and I'm told that Parise now has his own official fan club consisting of scantily clad college girls with painted stomachs that spell out Zach Attack. I believe there are pictures on hfboards for those interested. Quote
