Goon Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Dave Tippett is coaching the Stars, who are still alive. Does he count? That would count in my book. Quote
mikeypat15 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Is anyone watching this game, that is twice now that Montreal has scored and the Flyers horn has gone off. Quote
Sioux_Yeah_Yeah Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Did the Flyers try to do like an Orange Out sorta thing? Quote
mikeypat15 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Did the Flyers try to do like an Orange Out sorta thing? Yes they call it Orange Crush Quote
Goon Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Yes they call it Orange Crush It was pretty impressive. Quote

mikeypat15 Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 http://msn.foxsports.com/nhl/story/8090340?MSNHPHMA Though the series is pretty much over, this story would have been huge had it been a 2-1 series. Quote
Sioux_Yeah_Yeah Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 http://msn.foxsports.com/nhl/story/8090340?MSNHPHMA Speaking of Sean Avery, here's some stuff in case you missed it: Avery screening Brodeur in Game 3 against the Devils... And the handshake line after the series Quote
Goon Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Go Stars... Go Niskanen.. Dallas is advancing to the Conference Finals either tonight or the next game. Quote
WiSioux Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Why do they sing God Bless America instead of the Star Spangled Banner in Philly? Quote
SiouxPride0303 Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 http://msn.foxsports.com/nhl/story/8090340?MSNHPHMA Thats karma for you Quote
SiouxPride0303 Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Why do they sing God Bless America instead of the Star Spangled Banner in Philly? Because apparently when it is sung they win games...so it has brought them success in the past. According to Wiki. I think its stupid...and that singer on the ice butchers O Canada too. Quote
Sioux_Yeah_Yeah Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Video of the God Bless America song at the Flyers game... And look at all that orange, that's pretty cool! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxn8-J5IjqU Quote
Sioux_Yeah_Yeah Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I know the Oilers have nothing to do with these playoffs... but this clip is awesome!!! And they did a white out!! I wish we could pull anything close to this off!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFOdiM5GDpY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meLpuF9UMvk...feature=related Quote

Siouxmama Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Check out the original Winnipeg Jets White Out!! That's very cool! At about the 1:30 mark of the video, it looks like we have another goalie ritual. Quote
Goon Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I realize I'm getting a bit ahead of myself here, but it seems like we have a decent chance of seeing a rematch of the 1991 Stanley Cup (Pens/Stars). Looking like this might happen more and more... I am happy the Habs are about to get knocked out of the playoffs. Quote
siouxhockeyfan11 Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I think I watched the worst fans in proffesional hockey last night in the Philadelphia Flyers. Who boo's an opposing player after he takes a 90 mph slapshot in the chest and is unable to get up and then continue to boo him while he is going to the lockerroom. It was like watching 5 yr olds at the play ground. Quote

I completely agree, how would they have felt if it turned out to be more serious (i.e. internal bleeding, low percentage but maybe death) Those fans should be ashamed. I am still ashamed that I initially cheered when Smaby hit Trotter and continued to cheer when he couldn't get up, but I quickly shutup when I realized it was serious. Quote
