  1. Nothing against Wentz...I hope he has a successful NFL career. He has talent and plays the best sport in the world. But it's an insult to UND athletes, male and female to be loving him up on this forum. This board should be exclusive to Fighting Sioux and Fighting Hawks.
  2. I know wrong thread but how about them boys. #UND Hockey!!
  3. I hope he is 100% by the time fall camp starts, if not already. He was an X factor in the run game and added a nice power punch last season. He will be a monster this year if he is full go.
  4. I must have missed the part where fans of one school are encouraged to establish a profile on a school's site that's not even in your conference for the sole purpose of making dumb comments. I need to head over to the Cornhuskers, Arizona Wildcat, or NIU sites and start commenting immediately.
  5. I'm like you...trying to read between the lines. Sometimes, what's not said is more important than what is said.
  6. I'm looking forward to pre season polls and the offense line coming together including Grady.
  7. I think the receivers and tight ends will rise to the occasion and do enough to keep teams from loading the box to stop the run game. There is talent and depth within the roster. Need to increase scoring output by 7 points per game or give up one TD less on avg. this year to make playoffs IMO.
  8. I asked in a different thread last week about receiving group...getting thin in numbers but I am sure there are CBs with receiving experience and skills like Ty Carter and Harris.
  9. You must be a former Bison cheerleader
  10. Wentz talk should be moved to recycle bin. Keaton and company is the focus on this board.
  11. Wentz never laced up a pair of cleats for UND so if he gets drafted, who cares. Nice kid and good athlete but I would prefer FIghting Hawks to win Big Sky and UND hockey getting to Frozen Four.
  12. Based on the feedback...UND should add two more Ws to the win column next year. Shoud be fun to watch.
  13. How is receiving corps looking?
  14. Let us pray to the football God that all of our players and committed incoming freshmen make it back from Spring Break healthy and without incident. Parents and coaches across the land are holding their breath. #Stayfocused
  15. Let's just hope they learn and grow and leave the funny stuff alone. Because being athletes, there is nothing good that comes from having that stuff in your possession or system. I have seen people in sports and business get hammered for this...It didn't take me being punished to know I didn't want to suffer the same fate.
  16. What would you do physically assault them or tell them how mad you are? That will solve the problem and ensures it never happens again. I hope these two guys learn and grow from this and set the Big Sky on fire next year, but it won't happen as a result of some tired or angry teammates.
  17. I don't know you and have no vested interest in making you appear to be wrong. Nor am I being argumentative. You chose to quote and comment on my post, which is fair. I'm simply sharing my opinion on sharing punishment with those that had the good sense not to posses or use pot. Having played college football, coached high school ball, and served in the military, I am pretty comfortable in sharing my opinion. Now, obviously I don't get a vote as to how UND will a handle this, but I know how I would.
  18. There is no probably to it. That's a fact. Lessor infractions will get you a Letter of Counseling, Reprimand, demotion or extra duty. But they they don't punish your coworkers when YOU break the law. I agree there are times when a coach makes everyone run extra if someone is loafing but this is a different situation. I'm not advocating kicking them off team...that's too harsh. But, it's about sending a clear message that they are accountable to team, family and community.
  19. Wrong. In the military they would get a bad conduct discharge.
  20. We all make mistakes but they should be given community service and made to sit for a game or two. We wonder why pro athletes do the same. Some did it high school or college. It's about teaching young men to be responsible to the team and community.
  21. What's disappointing to me is some kids are on less than full scholarship but have their !@#$ together and are still required to pay for the sins of teammates. If my boss told me I had to work the weekend because a coworker didn't do his job, I would laugh in his face and say see u Monday. Making the others do sprints or updowns because the two used pot is ridiculous. Now if the two of them were dogging it in drills...that be different.
  22. I am comparing apples to apples. I used Duke as an example, because they enthusiastically also support their football team based on watching them on ESPN. Eventhough basketball is the main sport. We have hockey to compete with for entertainment dollars. Same can be said for any number of schools that field a football program that had and is projected to have a strong year in 2016 like UND.
  23. The football team has gone to playoffs and been supported by their fans in large numbers beating Indiana and playing against Tex A&M and losing to Johnny Manziel. But my point is, I would like so see UND students create a rowdy home field advantage for our team.
