  1. I also want to say Cam played great. Some terrific saves from that kid. My heart sunk when I saw UAH got a penalty shot, but gosh was I energized (Much like Coach Berry) when he stopped that shot! Good for him! Keep it up!!
  2. I know it was just Alabama-Huntsville but I woke up this morning thinking "FINALLY IT'S GAMEDAY AGAIN!" So much fun!!!! I didn't think UND played bad at all to be honest....I thought they played hard but were perhaps a bit rusty, and couldn't finish some plays that they would've normally finished. First game back from break explains that! I know I'll be a bit rusty in regards to school when I return, but I get a thing called "syllabus week" to re-acclimate myself A win is a win, as we all know. Not too much complaining from me tonight! **I'm headed to a Quinnipiac basketball game tomorrow (Saturday 1/2) as something to do, but will absolutely be wearing my North Dakota Hockey shirt, to show those stupid Robertcats who's the boss.** Let's go Sioux/Hawks! **Irrelevant to the UND-UAH game, but gotta put those Robertcats in their place.**
  3. Can't let a rival come into the F'Hawks Nest, or as I call it for MBB, Coach Jonestown, and mount a comeback like that. Sick of NDSU hype.I didn't see the game, but if Jones got a technical foul called on him it better have been an epic spectacle, a la James Arthur Boeheim I was hoping to have a big celebration for the big Friday night in F-Hawks Athletics: the big win for MHOC, the as big or bigger win for WHOC, and then a rivalry win against the cow people in MBB. Whatever. It's fine.
  4. All 75 fans came out to support the glorious #1 Prov. Coll. Friars! Putting a beat down on power house Brown
  5. If your school is good at FCS football, be proud of that. If your school is good at college hockey, be proud of that. If your school is good at swimming/diving, be proud of that. I guess the point is be proud of your school, and be happy whenever a team brings home a trophy. Even when it's field hockey and cross country
  6. It is what it is. I'm so numb at this point I couldn't care less if students and fans boo their school. I won't boo, I know that. I might not even wear my Fighting Sioux gear anymore. My friend, who's on one of the athletic teams, already got his Fighting Hawks shirt and I'm all in. (Says the guy who was crazy anti-hawk...irony) Fun win for the F-Hawks, and I'll be lookin for a similar win tomorrow night!! Although Denver will most certainly come out flying! Should be a fun one! See you guys tomorrow!
  7. Providence and Quinnipiac.....my oh my. I don't want to go back home for winter break and hear my obnoxious friends who go to PC and QU boast and brag about their unbeaten teams..... When will they lose? Qpac has BU on the 12th, maybe they lose that game? Hopefully? Probably not? Prov has.....idk BC? Really, I don't know what team could beat these guys...Pray that it comes soon I just can't stand another north eastern team winning the 'ship. I'm a New England guy, don't get me wrong, but I was happy for Yale and what not. I'm agonizing over Quinnipiac and Providence. God forbid Providence make another deep run. Stop the madness now, or the CBS line might have to in Tampa
  8. Giving my honest opinion: I'm starting to absolutely hate this "Fighting Sioux" forever nonsense. I sat next to fellow students who I asked what they voted for, "Fighting Hawks because it was the best option," they replied. All of a sudden, "Fighting Hawks at full strength!" And those same students boo'd. Are you f***king kidding me????? Is that a practical joke?? You vote for a name then boo your school and your team??? I can't stand it. I didn't vote for F-Hawks in any rounds of voting, but I accept that's what the majority voted for. I'll cheer for Fighting Hawks, Roughriders, NoDaks, hell I'd even cheer for Sundogs if that's what the majority voted for. This is done, the school moved on. You may stick to Fighting Sioux, but the school is moving forward. Don't boo your alma mater, your favorite team. Cheer for UND. Be an adult.
  9. I guess I should include ***sarcasm*** anytime I use it in text format
  10. Oh yea and they have a hostile and abusive nickname.
  11. Bradley is 1-7. If you average out how many points they've lost by it comes out to about an average of 16 points. Bradley's blowout losses: Arizona (6-1, loss to Providence), 90-60 Virginia (6-1, loss to George Washington..ouch), 87-52 Delaware (4-2, losses to Iona/Temple), 70-47 Bradley barely lost to Towson (5-3, losses to La Salle/OK State/Ole Miss), 62-60 So, overall, you'd think UND has a chance to come out playing hard, and competitive basketball. I hope the F'Hawks can get a road win, but it would be our luck to lose to the 1-7 team.
  12. Yeesh...a school with a condom for a mascot??? Bold move.
  13. I don't know if anyone is "upset" by a 20 point win, because they shouldn't be upset at all but let's not make it bigger than it really is. They beat Waldorf College....like they should've. If Coach Jones can get his players, and his recruits to buy into what he's selling and make them believe in this program and in one another, then I have no quarrel with him. Teams that play hard for each other, for their school, and for their coaches are always fun to watch. Just hope that when push comes to shove down the stretch, this team has what it takes to be a contender.
  14. I was surprised at the score of the second game...didn't see that coming
  15. Not thinking? Lapse in judgement? That explains how he ended up at U of Minnesota....
  16. Let's go F'Hawks! Beat the Orange! Fly or die, go birds!
  17. NCHC fo lyfe! I need my Hawks v Hawks action
  18. As far as I know, players don't have much of a say in the way of scheduling games, they're just given the schedule and they go and play those games. At the end of the day our players went out and won 7 games, their players went out and won 6. Glad they got rewarded for being "meh"
  19. Kind of a trip hearing these ESPN guys say "Fighting Hawks"
  20. Hopefully come tomorrow morning (I'll be sleeping most of tomorrow because #college) these newly named Fighting Hawks will get a spot in the playoffs! They are a real fun team to watch. I know getting a game at home would be a "bonus," although the game would happen during Thanksgiving break, no? I'd hope a lot of families would pack the Alerus. I would but my family is 1,400 miles away. (That being said I will be able to support Fighting Hawk women's hockey as they travel to Syracuse!) My friends and I will pack the first row of War Memorial Arena! My dad and his side of the family are born/raised in Syracuse. "I grew up at the War Memorial" he says, and I say be prepared to get F'Hawk'd.....Or something to that effect....#FlyOrDie
  21. If I were a major news organization and you were running for President, you can bet your bottom dollar I'd take that quote out of context
