Not sure what was more fun yesterday. Watching NDSU's playoff football game or watching the ass kicking on the basketball court. Great day to be an NDSU fan!

-
They sat on the sidelines as redshirt freshman watching NDSU beat SDSU. 0-7 in my book.
-
Zach Zenner and Austin Sumner..... 0-7 against NDSU.
-
NDSU was offered this game last year and turned it down due to having the Iowa State game the next week. I wouldn't call it having a love affair with the Big Sky. NDSU and Montana are two of the elite programs in the FCS which is why this particular game is being televised.
-
Nice to see NDSU getting yet another game on national TV. This is awesome for recruiting.
-
Congrats on the win. I did not see that coming at all. Big Sky is getting really interesting.

The difference is Marshall would never be #3 in the FBS polls. Those voting would never be that dumb to think they were the third best team in the FBS, just because they are undefeated. Coastal will end up with a top 4 seed based on final rankings. It is a joke and better more deserving teams will get screwed.
-
I always thought Coastal being ranked that high was a joke. EWU gets beat by a PAC 12 team by what, a point and gets beat by a ranked FCS team by 2 points, with their star QB out, but somehow Coastal Carolina, who have played nobody, is ranked higher. LMAO. Coastal should maybe be ranked around 15. Whatever Harvard is at, right around there.
-
In the FBS there are three undefeated teams, FSU, Miss. State and Marshall. Marshall is ranked 21st in the AP poll. There are 18 teams with a loss or a few losses between FSU and Marshall. If FSU and Miss. State lose and Marshall ends up undefeated, would they deserve to be the #1 team in FBS, just because they are undefeated? Marshall and Coastal Carolina are identical situations. Both are undefeated but play the lowest level of competition in their division. Marshall is ranked #21 but Coastal is #1. It is a joke.
-
NDSU going 9-1 with their schedule is far far more impressive than beating 10 teams not ranked. If Alabama wins out and ends up with 1 loss, playing in the SEC, do you think that would be harder and more impressive than Marshall going undefeated in Conference USA? This is why the FCS polls are a joke. Half these writers don't even know who the teams are let alone what playing quality opponents even means. Hell only a few years ago, voters were still screwing up and giving UND #1 votes because they were confused by the two schools.
-
What is funny about the polls is that #1, #2, and #3 have a combined 4 wins over top 25 teams and no wins over FBS teams. NDSU alone has 4 wins over top 25 FCS teams and a win over an FBS team from a power 5 school. Hell Coastal has not ever played a ranked team the entire year. If they had played the schedule NDSU had just played, I would be incredibly surprised if any of these teams were sitting at 9-1 right now. I understand NDSU played a bad game and deserve to drop but to say Coastal at #2 is a better team than NDSU? Give me a break. I would bet the house on EWU or NDSU over any of these jokers.
-
I expected a few losses coming into this season, knowing how difficult our schedule was. Despite the loss, I still think NDSU is the team to beat in the FCS this year. It is hard getting beat as a fan though. It is something I have not had to think about on Sunday for over two calendar years. We can't all be as fortunate as UND fans and develop the tolerance to deal with it on a weekly basis.
-
Jealous maybe? Maybe UND will go on a historic run winning 3 FCS national championships in a row, 5 games in a row over FBS teams, and ride a 33 win steak and Gameday will may you the new weird niche home to set up shop.
-
Obviously you do given you chose to comment about NDSU getting beat.
-
Last time I checked NDSU will be playing in the playoffs this year. They lost in both 2011 and 2012 and won it all. Incredibly hard to win 3 national championships in a row and not have a huge target on your back.

UND at NDSU 2015 pregame thread (no smack)

Which game is in the bars and restaurants across the state on Saturday? Online streaming of UND football? No, it is the NDSU game on public television. In terms of building young fans, fans who might one day be a recruit to a football program, I think NDSU being broadcasted on public television is a significant advantage. -

What do you guys think secondary tickets are going to go for? I am guessing $200 average. -
Considering the fact that EWU normally chooses not to field a team on defense, I thought UND would put up more than 3 points.

A lot of students are getting bored watching an ass kicking over and over every weekend. They are spoiled. But to try to say UND and NDSU have the same problem with student support.....come on man. Even with a few less kids showing up, NDSU has a top 5 student attendance year in and year out in the FCS. -

Lol.....NDSU is getting twice the students to their games than UND is these days. Hell, the average number of students who show up for NDSU games is about half of what are showing up in the entire Alerus center these days. -
I don't think you did. I have seen plenty of NDSU alumni support and cheer for UND hockey, but never have I seen NDSU alumni cheer for UND football to the lengths of which I see UND alumni cheering for NDSU. True rivalries, Auburn/Alabama, Michigan/Ohio State, Duke/NorthCarolina do not have a alumni cheering for the other team in a sport each program has. I showed this to my friend who went to Montana State. For a long time UM was the show in the state of Montana. I asked him if he or anyone he knows spent their Saturdays watching the Grizz, cheering for the Grizz, tailgating wearing Grizz gear, or traveling to watch their national championship games. His response was you are seriously asking me that Fing question?
-
I bet there are a ton of Red Sox fans living in New York who show up to Yankee games wearing Yankee gear cheering for the Yankees lol.
-
Where did I say I live or my co worker live in Fargo or even close to Fargo? We don't. I know there are UND fans who cheer for both teams...a lot of them. That is why it isn't a true rivalry anymore. I bet their are a lot of UND alumni living in Minneapolis who go to UM hockey games, wearing UM hockey gear, cheering for UM.....lmfao!
-
How many Minnesota alumni, living in GF, do you see showing up to UND hockey games dressed in UND gear cheering for UND hockey? Of all the ridiculous crazy arguments I have heard, this takes the cake!
