  1. Feel better now......we were dominating them and they were still in the game, now at least the score reflects things a bit better now. Gotta keep it up. I feel maybe a pick coming here?
  2. I don't care if we fair catch every damn punt the rest of the year, just catch the ball and signal fair catch. I'm tired of fumble...or ball rolls 15 yards down field. Our Punt return is at best a grade D.
  3. What did I say this week.......Seibel makes me nervous fielding punts. Ok we have no kicker, and our punt return doesn't seem like it can be trusted.
  4. Mine is good too, all games have been good this year....way better than last year.
  5. Add a Kicker to the recruiting class while we are at it, he's cost us 4 points already.
  6. It's working well for me, was blurry for a minute there....but that was the camera operator.
  7. The only problem with that drive...is it took less than four minutes lol, but I'll take it!!
  8. Ahhh yeah you are right. That one obviously wasn't Studs fault......but yes he does have that one. Well good...maybe that means he's not way overdue for one this week then
  9. Hopefully a number of long sustained drives will keep their offense off the field and also help limit how many points they put up against us. While our secondary has given up some big plays (but what secondary hasn't), I sure feel a heck of a lot better than I did last year playing a team like this. Love our huge improvement on making picks this year too....would sure think we'll get at least one on them. Can't take the game for granted though, Studs has not thrown an INT yet this year......at some point he is going to throw a pick. I think as long as we don't turn the ball over a bunch or a bunch of weird things happen, we'll be ok.
  10. Tank should probably get the game ball for the Poly game. Since we were forcing their hand to run the dive, it was crucial that he be a force in the middle...which he was that game. They are use to getting 3-5 yards most every time they run it against others, not the 1-2 yards, and zero sometimes against us. Great game Tank, and great game overall by the defensive front.
  11. So glad we got him! We may have been somewhat screwed if we didn't with so many guys graduating/leaving after last year, and now injury. The line really came together last week....hoping we can continue...and this year start our roll now....instead of waiting until the last three games of the year. Let's Leave No Doubt tomorrow!!
  12. Is there a link to their board that any of you have been on? Curious what their fans are thinking coming into the game.
  13. You beat me by a few minutes I'm going with this....we've taken some baby steps the last couple of weeks.....and this week finally get a win by more than one TD.
  14. Cool to see it broken out like that. Seems wierd that it's like they didn't even try blocking the OLB on those plays, so all the OLB has to do is step up a few feet and wait, not bite on the dive, and he would always be in position to take the QB if he kept the ball....and then the safety the pitch man. That defender at the end of the line that's off the line of scrimmage just goes straight up field for the block on to ILB. If he does that, and our OLB just stays home...they do have to hand it off to the FB.
  15. I still get a little nervous even with Seibel returning punts, he gets too close to the ball sometimes when he doesn't field it. Last week there was one that bounced only a couple of yards from him....if it took a funny bounce it could have easily bounced off him and there were two Poly guys right there that would have jumped on it. I believe he fumbled a return at one point last year too. He does have the most experience at it on our team right now though, but make a decision as to if you are going to field it or not....and if not....get 10 yards away from the ball.
  16. When I first saw the grey helmet I thought it looked pretty good. However I think getting a white helmet instead of a grey would have been better. White helmet with the grey jerseys would look really good. All grey everything will likely be too much grey. The white helmet would really make the logo stand out, and it would look good with almost any uniform color combination.
  17. Some great points made about Studs, no turnovers is absolutely huge! He did struggle early, but the line was really bad to start the year like others have said....and even though he may not have had a guy pressuring him real bad on some of the really bad throws he made early on, just not feeling comfortable with your line I think is going to play with a QB's head and rush things. Throw in the fact that he was throwing to one or two true freshman, were they running the routes exactly like he thought they would be etc.? He did deserve some criticism but glad he seems to be in a groove now. I think it was this last game, he threw a ball that hit the ground before it got to the receiver.......however he did that purposely because if he would have thrown it right between the numbers there was a defender coming and it probably would have been picked off. I think I saw another pass like that early in the year, where he looked like he made a bad throw but I think he did it on purpose. I think he only has 3 interceptions between last year and this year so far.....that can take you a long way. He probably does need to improve a little on those swing passes out into the flat though.
  18. This is a game where they have to go back to the "Leave No Doubt" mantra, they HAVE to win this game. They need to go into this game with something to prove in my opinion.
  19. Especially with no bye week this year, it would definitely be nice to get a game or two where a majority of starters can rest in the 4th quarter instead of the game going down to the wire. I don't want us to get ahead of ourselves though, first we need to win this game. We cannot afford to slip up this week.
  20. Definitely heads up for him picking it up, I do also think the Poly players initially thought it was dead too....which helped him get good yardage out of it as I think they all stopped for a second. You see players at all levels...even NFL RB's or WR's at times.....not going after a ball like that. And you are right, if he didn't pick it up....even though Poly initially quit on it....eventually they would have realized it was live and scooped it up and ran it in. That would have been a huge change in the game. Good job Gordon!
  21. That was a huge heads up play on that swing pass that was over thrown, and it could have been a game changer. Watching online I didn't realize it was a backwards pass right away. If he wasn't heads up and picked up the ball, if he just quit on the play....Poly probably scoops that up and runs it in for a TD. Instead he picks it up, and I think he got a first down on it too.....great job at being smart for a younger guy who hasn't seen the field much up to this point.
  22. He did look pretty good, I agree! Down to only two RB's healthy on the team now though....hopefully we can stay healthy.
  23. Our defense just matches up with your running style, it's what we defend best. We do seem to have your number lately, and you guys have Montana's number.....that's the way it goes sometimes for some reason. You guys should have been ranked higher than what you were coming in, good luck the rest of the way. Wouldn't mind if you guys won out, helps make this look like a better win. By the way....we did out rush you, although by only 1 yard I know some of your people thought one of our posters was crazy for thinking we could ever rush for more yards than you guys. Good luck, hopefully we both get our number 1 RB's back soon.
  24. The team showed me a lot today, offense showed what they can be. And the team showed a lot of character.....after almost being up 17 or 24 to either 0 or 7 in first half, to only being up by three at half...and then falling behind. Great job at continuing to play....and offense came through for a full four quarters....awesome! I think that line change may have been a blessing in disguise, hopefully that injury at the end isn't serious though. If our offense keeps this up.....we are a playoff caliber team.
  25. Great job today offense!!!
