  1. C'mon man, you don't think you are going to get a little ribbing about that from us for a while when you come on our board?
  2. 3 kickers seems like a lot, but it sure will be nice knowing we have more than a 30% chance on FG's more than 20 yards out next year.....or if the game is on the line.
  3. About the same caliber of teams that we beat out to get Santiago. And no, I'm not saying he is going to be a Santiago.
  4. That sucks.

Good, will make SHSU a better team so when we beat them it will look more impressive come playoff time.
  6. You can, but there is literally no way another offensive coordinator would use Santiago as poorly as Rudolph did. On a scale of 1-10 as to how well Rudy used the talents of Santiago....I'd probably give it a 1. I guess he did give him the ball a fair amount even with other talented RB's on the team, so maybe a 2.
  7. Nice! Anybody have a link to his hudl, or was it posted recently?
  8. Amen!!
  9. Totally agree. Worst case scenario SU is giving up at least partial scholly when the were previously not giving up anything. Sure hope he chooses UND though, would love hearing how SU didn't really want him that much anyway.

Definitely excited to see the new offense next year too. So many times we had the three tall WR's on the field at the same time, they are all good but had similar skill sets. Hopefully one of the faster guys is on the field at almost all times next year. It will be nice to see a more diverse offense next year. We'll probably never graduate two RB's at the same time as we did in losing Brady and John, however have to give kudos to the staff in the RB's we are bringing back. Especially with Gordon going back to RB. It looks like we have 4 solid RB's next year and while I will miss watching both Brady and John, I'm not really concerned at all right now about the RB position next year. OL should have some decent depth next year and experience. Last year we started the year with the OL already banged up. Sure hope this year they start out 100% healthy. We will need a great game by the OL to have a chance against SU. With his athleticism, I think Boltmann could end up being the guy next year at QB. Will be interesting to see how that shakes out.

Not sure if he would have started next year, but was thinking he was supposed to be one of our best recruits of that class wasn't he? Didn't he have a PWO from Iowa or something.
  12. Posting that pic was a total dick move, and even you know that.
  13. Even though he was the leading scorer, I bet Moody wasn't ecstatic about his game and feels he should have done/shot better. I certainly wouldn't say he was in the zone, he missed some shots badly.....air balled one and hit the back board on another. That said he still did score which was lacking from others, and he'll hopefully improve on defense as get gets more experience. I think the more he plays and gets comfortable his accuracy will improve.
  14. A legit transfer in at NG. Merry Christmas!
  15. Way less of a mistake than Ryan Leaf! He was proving to be pretty good and likely would have been the Super Bowl MVP last year if he didn't get hurt. Sure if he ends up always being injured it will prove to not turn out well, but he has proven he can play at a pretty high level and I don't think anybody has been considering him a bust.
  16. A lot of people seemed to be excited when we got Cloyd. Maybe he'll have a breakout year under a new OC.
  17. True, however I think it’s pretty normal for any fan base to be upset for a day or two upon hearing one of your best prospects that committed has changed his mind. Not necessarily upset at the kid, just upset in general for a day or two, especially given our QB situation the past 5 years. I was pretty damn disappointed when saw that he recommitted but I’m pretty much over it already, it is what it is.
  18. What position?

    2019 Season

NG to me is a bigger concern than QB. QB is obviously important as Kett just didn't have it at the end of the year, but between hopefully a better line, better play calling, Zimm or Boltmann....and hopefully QB getting coached up better....might be ok but still a concern. We could still play with what we have on the roster at QB right now if we needed to. However if we don't do something at NG we are in trouble. Having one undersized NG with very little playing time......ouch we will likely get gashed up the middle again like two years ago when we had no middle LB's.
  20. It also amazes me how they get guys completely wide open 4-5 times a game....with nobody within 7-8 yards. That one play where there RB ran kind of up the middle and all of the action rolled left, RB then went to the right and he was WIDE open in the endzone. Great play call and called at the exact right time. That was not superior Jimmy's and Joes, a QB and RB from Mayville State could have thrown and caught that.
  21. Watching that just reminds me of how bad it sucks we wasted the talents of Brady and John. Still feel bad for those two, all the seniors but particularly those two that they had to end their careers in such a bad way in such a pathetic offense at the end of the year. Great guys though, and I'm glad they are still positive about the University and the program.
  22. Looks like he might have a little bit of Brady in him.....runs pretty hard. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/2992294/5721da3c0428ae20e4d783ad#
  23. The original will never be able to be replicated, but keeping the nickel even if it’s different would still have some historical significance. Making up some new thing will have zero significance and will be forced. Sure 20 years down the road it may mean something if they come up with something new, but I think a newer version of nickel is a good option. Something so basic, but I hadn’t thought about just doing that but it makes sense.
  24. I’m in hell right now, drug to an NDSU watch party in Mesa because a buddy is down visiting for the weekend. At least it’s an excuse to start drinking at 10AM, definitely need to drink to put up with this.
  25. I like that idea
