Jerry won't get in much today. Bubba has the worst head coach awareness ever.

I'd say it's 90% Bubba just let's go of Joel and he can be the scapegoat and Bubba will think he's doing what he did after letting Rudy go and relieve the pressure by doing that. But this is different, we all know this won't change things for the UND football program. Bubba is the problem and needs to go. I'll have a hard time rooting against our players once the game kicks off tomorrow, but another loss will help keep Bubba's seat hotter than hell even when he fires the DC to push blame off on Joel. As long as Bubba's the HC I want his chair to be on fire, maybe he won't fall asleep during meetings then. I think Bubba would have the chance to somewhat save face if he retired after this year. But if he continues another year and we have another year like this, he can look forward to being seen as getting kicked out the door with his tail between his legs and that will be his legacy.

I miss Shannon on the podcast, but this would have been a rough year for him hearing all the talk about Bubba.

Going to be a lot of transfers out this off season. And we have we almost zero chance of winning more than one playoff game next year without some drastic changes. Not sure we are even .500 next year. Next year is a lost year anyway, just like this one. At this point I'm ready to roll the dice on a change/reboot.

Saw this on FB today in a comment on the North Dakota football threads. According to this there were football alumni that highly recommended Chaves not extend Bubba and made their feelings pretty clear.

Ultimately it's up to Bubba, but when Bubba is a defensive coach....you can't tell me that Fruechte doesn’t have a LOT of pull in that decision. If Fruend was here, in my mind it would be Fruend making the call as to who gets thr start to start the season. It may never be mentioned publicly but I think Fruend, and now Fruechte say who they would want to start, and HC can go with it or not. Now if Fruend, as a former QB and offensive coordinator became HC then I'm thinking he is making that call. Anyone here think Bubba is some kind of QB Wizard and is going to go against their OC's choice as to who the starter should be? Hell Bubba doesn't know when to call timeouts. You think he needs the stress of it getting out that the OC suggested starting a QB and he chose the other guy and went with that other guy?

It makes way too much sense to give Jerry either the start or alternate series to give him some experience and to see what he's got. But this inept coaching staff won't do it. If Jerry doesn't get snaps this week Fruechte you should also go when Bubba leaves.

Jerry will get zero meaningful snaps this game, or next week.

I disagree with whoever said the guys aren't playing hard, I think they are. And we wouldn't be in the game after 3 quarters with the number 5 team in the country when we are barely an average team.

Still plenty of time to lose by 3 scores.

On replay looked like USD was actually holding number 9. Wtf

Listening to the 360 podcast, they all predicted a 21 point loss. That is where we are at right now after more than 10 years of Bubba. Even people with Kelly Green glasses feel we will get beat at home by 21 ish. Kelly had nothing to say about our chances of winning other than....its tough, USD is good. That's how far we've fallen behind we, can't even compete with any of the Dakotas. It's sad.

I would normally think that, but our defense has just been too bad the second half of the year, and our offense scored 7 last week. I think it could be like last week where we start fast and feel like we are in the game but then reality hits and they are just bigger, better, stronger, and better coached. Alerus Center magic is about the only way we keep this within two scores. I'll go USD 31 UND 13

Remember watching the replay during the game and ya....I was like holy crap how did they miss that! There were actually 2 different players holding. Wouldn't have changed end result of the game as mentioned, but a proper call there may have prevented them from getting 7 on that drive. In hindsight Bubba should have blown up even more than he did and got a personal foul, maybe woulda fired up the team.

Im hoping for this, and that is why I'm hoping we get destroyed again Saturday and then lose the last game as that is the only way this could potentially happen. Will be a very long off season for him with everyone all pissed off. Maybe he would negotiate a lower buyout number and do what's best. Tons of fire Bubba on every North Dakota football Facebook post the last two weeks. He has to feel that, and I think is why you can see it in his face.

And we all know it's the latter. Absolutely ridiculous Jerry didn't get some snaps Saturday, and more in some other games. Blows my mind a coach can be that inept.

Boise St. is on TV tonight. Last year we held this guy to like 65 yard or something. This is what he had at half tonight. We hold Iowa State to 21 points. It is perplexing how we can shut a guy like Jeanty down, but then give up 200-300 yards on the ground to FCS teams and look so damn bad on defense.

If you bring back the three OL that hit the portal we'd be pretty good on offense. Would have been interesting to see what QB Danny would have started this year. Danny recruited Jerry, but I don't think we'll ever know how good he could have been.

If no changes are made, everyone should boycott buying season tickets next year unless you are a players parent or something.

It does, that's what I said after the loss last week. Made me feel like Mussmans last year. I've never felt so indifferent going into a UND football game. I was not excited at all even as the game started, I felt like I didn't really care....and that continued especially after the 1st quarter. I wasn't even following or commenting on this thread during the game like I normally would be doing. I was doing other stuff during the game which I would normally never do. The Bubba era is over. We are the joke of the Dakota's.
