One son got a minor consumption in college ”Mom, they’re just cracking down so hard on the football team. I mean we were just having a kegger in a house and someone called the police. The O line snuck upstairs (do you have a vision on that???) and we locked ourselves in a bedroom. We would have been ok but one of the girls started crying.. We all got busted.” thank God he wasn't driving.... but it bugs me all the students walk away and don't attend the game

Hearing the announcer say “Ok Sioux (Hawk) fans, everyone in your feet for the third down” adds excitement... reading a flashing computer screen does not. You had to turn your eyes from the field to the monitors. Same for “Ok Sioux fans, let’s make some noise.” It adds to the experience. I think it keeps the audience engaged.... I am beginning to appreciate any athletic event that does NOT have those big screens. A high school near us had a12’ by 16’ one installed in their gym... I had bunk beds and a crib in a 12 by 12 room in our first house.... A good announcer goes a long way... keep the monitor but add the announcer back for some hype... just my opinion.

One thing I missed is an awesome sports announcer calling the players names after the play... some were called out, I think. I missed the expression and excitement of those announcing. Many times it was in the video screen and gave good info... but the momentum the announcer generated!!! He always said each player’s name a certain way.... loved standing on the third down again.... someone mentioned giving the crowd monster drink... I don’t need it!

So sponsorship at the Alerus seems to be not as noticeable as at the Fargodome. The 2 or 3’ signs along the visiting sideline need a new media presence.... also, advertising the “Lactation Lounge” so often on the video monitors? Driving up I noted some businesses I did NOT see but they may support other sports. Both facilities were built with public money and have a “relationship” with a public university.... why does the Fargodome have what appears to be more permanent and prominent sponsorship advertising? Just wondering...

Even with my limited football knowledge, I wondered what the heck... 10 open yards in front of him. If that was directed by the coach ( unbelievable), then someone needs to tell that coach to have some gonadal fortitude.... maybe they all need to go for the gusto.... that #6 has it and a couple of the LBs....maybe the team lacks confidence... new players and a coach. Hopefully the bye will produce some time to gain confidence.

Home... loved the game, atmosphere, et al but loved that young QB most of all.... great job! The defense was great but our LB still get a little tangled up due to DL. Go Sioux!

I am telling you God is on our side a quarter back keeper and a big run! That #6 may be little and young but he seems to play with fire.

God is on our side... a missed field goal! I don’t know about bubble screens, I don’t think. I am just happy to be in the ambiance of the UND family. How many older people with walkers did you see in the Fargodome? How many young families??? Babies?? The UND family welcomed us the first time on campus. Glad to be here.....
