  1. When I enter that in CHN, we finish 16. But if we win instead of tie in that scenario, we would be the last team in.
  2. Has anyone found a scenario on CHN where we make the tournament? I tried and couldn't find any way we finish above 15 in the pairwise.
  3. Listening to the big ten announcers gush over Rau makes me want to puke.
  4. What do guys think about the waved off WMU goal? The Starman seemed to think it shouldn't have been disallowed.
  5. I really like Lowell's jerseys as well. Tough to beat red, white, and blue.
  6. I'm pretty sure the only NCHC game that will have an online stream is the third place game.
  7. I really liked both jerseys in the Mankato/BGSU game. Probably because you don't see those colors very often. I usually like red/white and red/black combos but it seems like half the teams in college hockey have those colors and it gets tiresome.
  8. All four goals left are awesome goals! Definitely the four best in the bracket. Rocco's goal is my favorite. I like how he fights through a little hook and is still able to pull off his signature deek and put away a shorty. Kovacs is actually the next best one in my opinion. I must just like seeing the goalie get deeked more than seeing a defenseman getting walked followed by a snipe.
  9. Omaha had a goal like that a couple years ago against us. I don't remember exactly which year, but it was in Omaha within the last three years.
  10. It may have to do with the green tinted glasses I wear but I legitimately think the two best goals were Drake's and the one by Rocco ranked fifth. Pitt's was really nice too, but it was really terrible defense by the other team. Picking between the Pitt goal, Rocco goal, and Drake goal is going to be tough.
  11. Another problem is the price for student tickets. It has gone up $30 in the three years I have been at UND.
  12. The report said Eichel would consider it if he could play in the OHL against McDavid, but that won't happen because teams in the Q will not pass up on him. The report sounds to be to almost be a confirmation that he is going to BU. Won't leave unless he can play in the OHL and that won't happen.
  13. Hasn't Blais called the incoming class next year at Omaha the best he has had there? They could be really good next year with the only loss being Walters (if Archibald sticks around for his senior year). If they can get goaltending (huge if) they might be the favorites next year. We will be good. Gothberg will only get better. We lose Simpson but the d-corps could still be better next year with the freshman having an entire year under their belt and Poolman coming in as another possible USHL defenseman of the year. I like Rodwell, but we are not losing anything at forward that we can't replace (if Grimaldi stays which I think he will). Our incoming class is supposed to be good as well. This year has been a fluke for Miami. SCSU will be good again next year. Most of Duluth's best players are sophomores and they will be better next year.
  14. I don't think Hazen has been to state since 1985 or something like that and they are roughly the same size as Beulah. Beulah was bad when I was in high school (freshman class A, sophomore 3rd in district/1st round region loss, junior last in district, senior 3rd in district and region). We got a new coach my senior year and we have gone to state 3 out of the 6 years he has been here. While the class size helps, in my opinion the thing Beulah has going for them now is they have a good coach that cares instead of a good coach that just wanted to retire and golf.
  15. I think you can look at my hometown of Beulah as an answer to this. We spent about ten years in class A, with graduating classes of about 100 students in the late 90's and early 2000's. Don't think we went to state a single time. The closest we came was a state play in game the year before moving back down that we lost by 3. The years right before moving up we took 2nd and third at state. They've gone to state 3 times in 8 years since moving back down. So they're a good but not dominant class B town but could not really compete in class A.
  16. The only two programs that are even considerable to trade results with had, what I consider to be, the two best coaches in college hockey until DU's AD got too full of herself. What's that say about Hakstol? I think it says he is a pretty good coach. Still has his faults but everyone does. I'm sure there is something wrong with York and Gwozdecky liked to act like a monkey.
  17. To be fair, Miami has been hit even harder than we have by decommits. Makes this year's team all the more impressive though. Very unrealistic but this year's team could have had Nelson in his senior year along with JT Miller in his junior year and Matteau as a sophomore.
  18. Looks like Mario had good numbers in the ECHL and even had some time in the AHL this year. What happened? Is playing in Europe considered better than toiling away in the ECHL? Is the money better?
  19. I knew only one of WMU and Denver could finish ahead of us. That's why I wrote it like I did. I was mistaken with Omaha and Duluth both being able to finish ahead of us. I missed that Omaha and Duluth play each other still.
  20. Never mind, I figured out why I was wrong. Duluth and Omaha play each other the last weekend and Duluth would need to sweep in order to finish ahead of us. But if Duluth gets the sweep then we finish at worst tied with Omaha and we can't lose any tie breakers due to our win total.
  21. I was trying to make a joke. Tough to carry tone on the internet and I was using my iPad so I couldn't do the emojis.
  22. If Denver were to win out we would finish ahead of Western Michigan because they play each other. I'm not sure if we have it clinched though because it is possible for SCSU, Omaha, Duluth, and either WMU or Denver to finish in front of us.
