After talking to multiple folks in EGF when this came out, (my day job is reporter and salesperson for the Exponent, a weekly newspaper in East Grand Forks). This seems like an unsubstantiated rumor at best for now.

I will not re write the 1000 plus words I have put up to explain what I am asking for except to say this. I have seen many people on this site asking for alternatives to the Herald and other paywalled news sites. I have provided that for free since April of 2016 co-founding Seamore Sports with my wife (she inspired this). I want to, if i get funding for it, take Seamore Sports full time and cover UND and any team whose fans feel that they do not get the coverage they deserve. If you want to support free to read independent journalism with a different take than the Herald or a different perspective on any UND sport I can attend or watch, along with features on players of all sports than the donate link is at the bottom of the page. It is paypal for now but over time we will be adding more perks and features for our supporters. Hi everyone, this is a post with the goal of finding out thoughts of this idea. Given comments on other threads in this and other forums about the need for "free content" and the appreciation for some of my work through Seamore Sports (my wife is a part of this to, she inspired this whole thing and co-runs it and take the pictures.. go like Violet Turtle Photography for some of her wonderful work). I had an idea, I have pitched it to schools needing more coverage but want to offer it to you, the people whom without I would not have over 30k views since starting this without spending a dime on ads, all while working a full time job/being a student/ raising an 11 month old with my wife. The idea: work with individuals/businesses in the area to provide sponsored posts on teams or sponsorship of XXXX posts per year, in order to provide content to everyone in the region and beyond. I will spend a certain amount (10-15 percent at scale) of monies on further promoting posts and creating new content. I am the only writer in the local media to write more than one soccer recap this year, and if I could cover UND full time to all of those who want to see it and grow Seamore Sports with my wife, I can provide new and unique angles to content.. features, more in game observations, interviews, road game blogs, I am open to all of those things and if perhaps the people of Sioux Sports wanted to be involved or knew folks who to contact that would be awesome. The end goal, have multiple sponsors to create posts about ALL UND Sports (I would write about as much as I could and sponsors would get mentions in posts they pay for, and I could partner with them to do giveaways and other things as the channel grows ( I would write about other schools who need more coverage with this model as well and some non sponsored content but that which sponsors pay for comes first)) The best part for all of you in this NO Paywall in any way and nothing but content for you to watch/listen to/read (the first two would come as sponsors come and the writing would go on! Soccer won two crucial road matches and is 3-1 in the Summit League and 1 win away from their best d1 season, also second in the summit league. Come out Thursday and watch! It should be a great game at 3 pm. Also volleyball played tough defense against SDSU before losing in 4 sets after the DU game was postponed. I will be covering as much as I can for Seamore Sports.

Having covered LSSU's goalie Mitens since 2016 and following LSSU close a bit, that result could be indicative of an improved LSSU team, if you have a second look at some of the games Mitens has won or nearly won for Latvia in 2016 at the U18s against teams full of guys now playing in the NHL. LSSU's biggest question is replacing scoring that left imo.

Some thoughts on tonight from press row combined with what to watch for from this team going forward. Really liked the blocking in set two and Akron played 6 sets today, UND made them earn really one set of the six (set 2) other than that the Zips were playing great. Neukirk would be playing in the spot that Darian/Antic rotated in, if you can, come watch EWU take on Akron at 12:30, will give you a good sense of a different challenge that UND faces from Akron tonight, their main setter can also attack and this is a Zips team that height wise is a little taller than UND.

VOLLEYBALL RECAP! .. check it out, liked Rutten and the balance of this team, starts seem to be key and Tiffin acknowledged as much as the game bore out, read it and let me know your thoughts.
