Gotta memory of a bachelor party there. The groom actually knew the dancer
-
Vaguely, and drunkenly. I recall actually having conversation with her. Don't know if I bought her a drink. That's three people....

Anyone else remember Tennesee? or just Fetch and me?
-
Great memories, I must mention both JBC's (LIT night) and Whitey's Back Bar (where I met Mrs. Squirtcoach). Hopefully we are all done with bemoaning the direction of the team. Everyone cowboy up. Since I can remember (starting 1979), the road to the Final Four is always rough for the Sioux. (Well maybe not in '87). But we'll get there just the same.

Hockey in ND is done for the season. Let's have more talk about the bars that are closed, please. Ma Barker's quarts of beer, anyone?

"Everyone would like to see Native American lives improve on and off the Reservations.....what can we do together to make life easier? I think everyone will agree that the problems that people on the Reservations face today were not caused by the University of North Dakota." -Hockeymom Not everyone... The NCAA doesn't give a damn about the lives of Native Americans. For them it's all about the money. Unless, of course, by "everyone" you meant the UND Fighting Sioux Community.

Well, that means I watch the Michigan-Ohio State game. It's a long drive up to GF to watch the Sioux give whutfur to WSU.

Question for Minnesota Vikings fans
squirtcoach replied to JESUS,family, rutgers's topic in Community
Mafiaman, time to move across town. Every one in youth hockey across the Metro knows Kennedy is Jefferson's whipping boy. Seriously, make it fun and take lots of pictures. My "squirt" graduated from high school last spring and we have tons of memories, from mini-mites to varsity. -
From experience, I would suggest a cup, too.

Gerrel's on South Washington had them a few years ago
-
Does that include bingo night in the Church basement?
-
If Forney DID outscore Oshie, that would mean a LOT of Goals!!! I like that rumor.

And wear a few more practice-related bruises....

I've been a serious fan of Sioux Hockey since 1979, and a lot of talented young men have worn that #19. But I don't think I'll be able to see another Fighting Sioux player wearing #19 for a long time and not think of Mike Prpich. It was a heckuva run, young man, and I wish you all the best in your future. No matter what comes your way in life, you will always have your years at the University of North Dakota. You as much as anyone on the team embodied the credo I try to instill on my youth teams: "Winning isn't everything, wanting to win is" Thank you for putting in the time and effort for our enjoyment and entertainment. It was OUR honor to watch you play the game. Good luck with your coming endeavors. If you go at it like you played hockey for the Sioux, you will be a success. Squirtcoach

Earlier I posted Grumpies That has bee deleted. We are going to be at the Hyatt in downtown Minneapolis. In the heart of Goldy country. I'm gonna love this win! Only 4 hours to puck drop!!!!

What are you doing down there?
-
We picked one up a Gerrels on South Washington a few years back.

Since someone mentioned they like to bring up old posts, I thought this one, from the darkest days of January after the sweep by St. Cloud, might be interesting. Lots of angst back then. Much brighter days in March. And April looks even brighter! GO SIOUX!

I appreciate your candor regarding baseball in North Dakota. It gives me (and will give him) a better insight to what kind of program he is looking for. He has also talked to the coaching staff at SDSU as well and met some of the players, but he doesn't know anyone who is going there. He is a 'team' oriented kid who has played on state champion or state tournament teams every year since they won the state Little League tournament when he was 12. So he is used to playing on teams that play to win. And doing what it takes off-season and on-season to get it done. SU may not be what he is looking for. As far as the controversy, The POI group whined about the SS team bringing two high school hockey players to the game last year, and tried to make it an issue. These guys were involved in half the points scored for the SS while playing defense, and the POI guys were afraid I'd bring them again. The two boys are good athletes and hockey players. Better baseball players than hockey players, too. As an alumnus of UND, I'd much rather see my son in a Sioux uni than a Bison uni. But he'll probably play where he is most wanted. Thanks for the info. Squirtcoach

This was the controversy. We laugh at standard whiney Gopher fans around here. http://siouxsports.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5329&st=60 He's a better baseball player than a hockey player and wants to play college ball. I hope Coach Zieglar shows more interest, otherwise he'll end up a Bison.....

If he was playing for the Sioux, the HB Committee would have ignored him. Panzer and Johnson were robbed!
-
Uh, CCHA was outscored 19-3 today. Not a very good conference. Holy Cross outscored the CCHA as well as the Varmints

Don't worry Bert, I won't be there, and Chartruese's cousin won't be skating with him. The kid is a member of SS, like me. Last year he brought his best friend because his cousin bailed at the last minute. But if people don't want him around, he'll be getting ready for baseball season. You just gave him reason #12 why GOPHERS SUCK AND THEY ALWAYS WILL! It's the fans.....
