It's not that big a secret. It's a 'bizarre' situation called "coach wants me to play where I do the best for the team". Eric Johnson has been dealing with the same situation this year, too according to press releases. Along with about a thousand squirts (and their parents) in the state of Minnesota who think they should be first line center.

If Fox Sports North (FSN) was so inclined, they could carry the game on the FSN alternate channel, Directv 642. Nothing is scheduled on that channel Saturday night. So, does anyone know who to talk to at FSN?

I am surprised that FSDetriot isn't carrying the game live, it must really have a pretty important game on to pre-empt Wolverine hockey! Channel:636Air Time:7:00 PM - 9:00 PM Oh, never mind And, I might add, not one, not two, but three Fox regional stations are carrying the Northeast Region games live. Of course, less than one is carrying the Michigan/Fighting Sioux game that I can see. It may be tough in the Twin Cities to see it live.

That's the apocryphal story I heard anyway. I never asked him if it was true. Broten said he almost fainted.

FSSN is never on the DirecTV satellite. Never. To get FSSN you need to get a free to air (FTA) system and point it at the proper satellite. But you will be able to watch a lot of college hockey this weekend if you subscribe to the Sportspack on DirecTV. Maybe Iceberg or PSB can tell you of a FTA vendor in the Chicago area who can install one before this weekend. Otherwise, get the Sportspack and enjoy the the WCHA Final Five and all the regional games in the ensuing weeks and make sure you install that FTA system before October this fall. Don't count on a bar in Chicago this weekend. We were in Chicago in March 2004 and even the ESPNZONE wouldn't play the Denver Regionals Saturday night. Good luck. And Go Sioux

And that certain person still thinks the gophers suck, they always have and always will. And have the most whiny fans you'll meet in D I hockey. Yeah, one of the people who "did not even know what the game was about" played in SS/POI #2 and #3 and the other, well, he was invited to play by someone other than me. You may have seen the first one this weekend, he was wearing the Sioux jersey and hat hi-fiving another sioux fan after Duncan scored the fifth goal in Friday night's game while FSN did a close up on him. But he doesn't know about the rivalry, huh? Don't worry berti, I won't be showing up to ruin your year.

I always thought that "Holy Cross" was an merely an exclamatory phrase like Boy Wonder's "'Holy Cheese', Batman" Or Bluto Blutarsky's "Holy !@$!". Does it have some special meaning to the Gophers? Please elaborate....
