Although it is always nice to win the Final Five....It is a tournament - nothing more nothing less. A couple of games played over two days. The true test of a teams strength night in and night out is the McNaughton. Great...We lost the tournament over one game - big f'ing deal. Understanding the Regionals and FF are single elimination....anything can happen. But given the strength the Sioux have shown throughout the entire regular season (not just November this year as some Gopher fan's would claim) I like our chances in the single elimination format - especially after a tough loss last weekend.

We don't need no stinkin mascot. About the only one's that are any good aren't even mascots - the Sausage race guys in Milwaukee.

With the exception of the UW series...the Sioux have played fantastic hockey on the road this year. Noted

Can't understand why this is still being discussed. Nothing the crowd (UMN or UND) did or didn't do during the weekend "lost" the game for the Sioux or resulted in an unfair advantage for either team. Giving it away in your own zone twice lost the game for UND. Not to be construed as whining or otherwise. No sour milk there - just plain and simple bad passes resulting in goals. Crowd, building or ice surface size aside - makes no difference when you put a clearing pass on the stick of the opposing forward in front of your helpless goaltender.

Have a good time down there NDH. I will be in Boston if they make it out and I will champion the cause to sway your opinion about the "kraut cans". Ford (Found On Road Dead)? Wow your falling down the ladder there. Wpos knows where it is at. Then again if I lived in GFK I wouldn't even consider driving a BMW - possibly the most horrific roads in the US are in that city.

For first round games, the Sioux are the only team I'd absolutely say has no chance of losing. Parise, Bochenski, Greene, Fuher and Smaby could get thrown out after the puck dropped and UND would still win. I would have said the same thing last year against Ferris.....

NDH...You are definitely up for fan of the year. Everytime I log on seems like you are packing up the tribe and heading cross country to follow the Sioux. Kudos to you.....I'm jealous - although I will be in Beantown provided we make it to the FF. Had the BEST time in Providence in 2000 and looking to take it in again. You might want to consider trading in that Minivan for an M5...fits the family nicely and you can make it to Colorado before anyone else
