Anyone get word of who threw the rat (gopher) out on the ice before the start of the game? I presume it was a Sioux fan - who may or may not have been tossed out? I want to buy that person a case - reminded me of the old Ralph and practically brought tears to my eyes.

Just in from the game...coupla comments... Brandt was outstanding...won the game for us hands down. Mariucci IS A DUMP ...PERIOD. Get some freakin ice for chirst sake. That gay cheer has got to go..I think it actually hurts the Gopher team - they seemed lethargic on the ice after the fans were spinning their wrist concluding it with yyyyyyyaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh Gophers! What are you people in first grade? Solid contingent on the rail in section 7. Entire section in front of us made up of Gopher fans was not happy with us. I think I heard the word obnoxious a few times. Oh well........ They are already bitching up a storm on POI...go take a read. It is actually funny. My point being that if you spent 5 or 6 of the best years of your life getting educated at UND (pun intended) your view of being an occasional pro-Gopher might not be what it is. When you get immersed in the culture of UND and Sioux hockey I find it hard to believe you can even consider allegiance to another program. Not a bad thing mind you (your multi-team fondness) but I understand a little more now your following other programs being a sports fan and all.

You got that right...I say a little hats off to the Gophers for pulling it together a little. As much as I enjoyed sitting through the beating they took in November. This series WOULND'T be nearly as good if they were still struggling at the bottom of the WCHA (contrary of course to what value Chia places on it).

That is kinda strange - I would suspect that this game will yield no open seats. So what do all those "rush" folks do then? Sit on the stairs? or stand behind the SRO people?
