How does Denver not get a slash/hook/etc on that play before Ausmus iced it?
-
Not official, but Luke Johnson isn't expected back tonight per Schlossman
-
knowing Sioux Falls, i'd bet there are quite a few bars that have good Sioux crowds there. Is Shenanigans on Tea-Ellis?
-
Luke Johnson down the tunnel

Is that the place with all the goofy sh*t on the walls and mozzarella sticks?

10-10 so even on faceoffs.

WatchESPN, wouldn't work if i switched it to tv speakers or surround sound. Picture froze, i backed out and re-initiated stream.

Stetcher wrote in his travel blog, that it was only okay yesterday during practices which he said they expected due to 4 teams practicing. Now you add on 4 morning skates, 1 full game, and full arena with heat on.

That was weak touch to go down like that. Refs too often want to make the quick call to look confident then to make the right call. I have done this a time or two in my reffing career.

They can't show the warmups or rink at all as it is empty. Teams are warming up with nobody in the stands.

This just informed me that the WatchESPN feed is about 30-60 seconds behind, so i have to wait to check social media

I agree not alot of excitement in this game. Also not alot in the NCAA ad that i keep seeing on WatchESPN app that has the Herb Brooks' Miracle quote but shows kids playing basketball.

Why doesn't the Alerus host a hockey regional
Wildfan replied to SiouxVolley's topic in Men's Hockey
Where was this at? It looks sweet! I have not had a bad experience for an outdoor game yet, I have been to 3: UND @ UNO TD Ameritrade Park; Ohio State @ UMN - TCF Bank Stadium(Hockey City Classic) and Wild vs Blackhawks @ TCF Bank Stadium (Stadium Series). Hockey City Classic felt like below zero temperatures, but having outdoor club seats with a indoor warming house for inbetween periods helped that out alot. Has anyone heard for sure if Sioux Falls entered a bid for the Western Regional? I know ESPN Radio in Sioux Falls said they were preparing to for one of the upcoming years, but haven't heard anything since. Denny Sanford Premier Center is a great rink, and the USHL team does really well in attendance, also alot of UND Fans there. -
I congratulated Bubba in person today on what looks like a great class. He seemed very happy on the signings, he said we just have to wait and see if they have heart. He will make UND great

At the Ralph there is someone that watches the video to look for the assists. The Refs do not inform on assist number. If you ever watch after the goals most of the time the orange band that called the goal does a fly by of the scorekeepers booth and signals a number that they have for the goal scorer only. I guess its a little more obvious from the student section being right there but you often can see them not go up to the hole in the glass. I remember playing USA Hockey rules with a illegal stick with Coffey blades were illegal, never got caught, but I also wasn't a goal scorer. They pretty much went away with the majority of curve rules, and I have not checked college rules but typically USA Hockey makes changes after NHL or NCAA does.

Yesterday most stations were $1.74 and University Station was $1.69, either they got a new shipment earlier or they decided to create a little more competition.

The PA announcer used it to announce the coaches and while announcing penalties.

i actually really enjoyed my experience at 1000 degrees. I stood in line for about a hour at openings (showed up at 10:50) for the free pizza. Unlimited toppings was nice, i did BBQ sauce, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Bacon, spicy sausage, pepperoni, pineapple and mushrooms. I thought it was pretty good quality for a place that takes 2 mins to cook the pizza.

Anyone else notice that since the story ran that gas has dropped to $1.79 in Grand Forks with little to no change in Fargo?

NDSU also lost to Montana, who beat UND, who beat Wyoming(FBS) and Portland State, who beat North Texas(FBS, wasn't close) & #37 Washington State(FBS) . So it's a FCS merry go round of beating each other. NDSU also beat SDSU worse, SDSU hung on against a 0-12 Kansas team, and lost to Montana.

I would think Fox College Sports would pick up alot of games

it would be so weird for awhile to me to not hear Looker doing PA. That's the voice of UND hockey I know(yes I'm haven't been around a long time). The women's PA announcer tries to copy some of the sayings and just doesn't sound right doing it. If he becomes radio, I sure hope they get a PA guy with emotion. You hear some of the NHL guys that have a PA voice but are just so bland as it's pretty much monotone. Guys like Looker and Adam Abrams (Wild) do great with emotions and getting fans into it. "Herrrreeeessssss your University of North Dakota SCORING!" "Okay Minnesota, on your feet, here there come your MINNESSSSOTA WILD!" Now I am biased but I enjoy these.

You start to lose that. Right now atmosphere is better because you are the top of your level, when moving up, expecially right away you probably will have around .500 years or a little over right away, with it averaging out to normal G5 level after a few years. If you ever do run the table in the G5 conference you aren't going to be selected for the 4 team playoff, so then you just end up in a bowl. G5 schools have gone undefeated and not even ranked in the top 10, behind 2/3 loss Power conferences. You get much more attention from media being a FCS team that beats a FBS team, just because it isn't supposed to happen no matter what in the mind of the media. If you a FBS and beat another FBS unless you are beating a top 25 school, you will rarely even get ESPN coverage. NDSU would be more relevant in FCS than FBS.

If we went FSN, I would have to think we get a Fox Sports North Dakota (Similar to FSN-Wisconsin) that is just FSN content until the time that UND/other ND content is on. That way they are able to do FSN, FSN+, FSN-D and I'm not completely sure if the 4th channel is considered to be FSN-W. While I was typing that I looked it up, it appears Wisconsin doesn't subfeed from North anymore, but do still have offices in the Twin Cities. FSN would want to maximize viewership and they would need a third channel to do that with UND games they can't just show it in ND Markets as there are plenty of UND ALumni/fans in the cities. So they would need to be capable of broadcasting UND/UMN/Wild games at same time, just like they do with UM/Wild currently. Timberwolves would still lose out, but it would give them a third channel to use if there is any conflicts with the odd sunday Big Ten games with Wild on also. I have read that Tim H applied in past for PxP position. And I know the hockey PA guy has said that he wants to become radio guy for UND sports.
