  1. Tartleton St is moving up to the WAC or Southland. Think the WAC mention is just a smokescreen for yet unnamed Southland members moving to the WAC and FBS. https://tarleton.edu/division1/documents/collegiate-consulting-division-i-fcs-benchmarking-study-march-2018.pdf That document details the travel distances for the Southland vs Lone Star but doesn’t even mention travel in the WAC, which would not be a bus league.
  2. Only a small portion - like 1% - of books, journals and other knowledge based resources are available without paying on the internet. While the internet may be a very valuable tool for efficiency and quick reference, for learning it is comparable to only eating Doritos and drinking Coke for ones entire diet. There are wonderful examples of new downtown libraries, like Billings, Montana.
  3. The NDBoHE was incredibly gullible as were its citizens. No one would have believed that a esteemed President of a U, like Chapman, would be such a thief and con-man. He should have had charges filed against him. The politics were not D2 level anymore, which somehow the state expected. UND was apprehensive about DI because there were questions about would the Ralph sellouts continue. Any person with a business background would recognize the truth in that statement.
  4. The lower level stands are moveable on one side, and them moved to one end zone. The AL should have much more room than the HPC, with proper seating on one side. It should be close to normal fields, but may not be carpet throughout. Called up my elderly parents, who don’t go to outside events unless it is summer and there is shade. They will probably go to their first UND softball game.
  5. Gene Taylor was there and he always had a thing to stick it to UND. Hanson probably was not even aware of the conference shanigans unless he went to an MVFC meeting. Schafer probably asked around to other Presidents and went to the SBoHE with info that they didn’t want to hear. In other states they guard against conference politics by requiring board approval because it is so common among state schools one blackballs the other.
  6. Congratulation! Your declaration of BS almost always proves that statement is true. After Loftsgaard, all the NDSU Presidents have been conniving thieves, but somehow they are revered for their cleverness and cunning ways among bison faithful.
  7. So the Montana weekend series is moving to the Alerus on short notice.
  8. http://www.al.com/news/birmingham/index.ssf/2018/03/birmingham_commits_90_million.html Birmingham commits $90 million for stadium. Jefferson County, the BJCC authority, UAB, and corporate interests will fund the rest.
  9. http://yellowhammernews.com/bjcc-master-plan/ UAB gets a new stadium for their resurrected fb team.
  10. Rule #2. Like the Cubs winning the World Series, or the Cavaliers winning for Cleveland a break a major Cleveland championship drought and Leicester winning the Premiere League doesn’t cause you to see 2016-17 as a strange Hebrew year. That Jubilee year didn’t have major election years here, but the resulting change here with Trump winning and Hillary losing was profound and continues to be. The last Jubilee year, In 1967-68, that year was to distinct change in time. Political, ghetto, cultural and anti-war rIots, RFK and MLK assassinations, Johnson decides not to run, Israel wins the 7 day war and gets all of Jerusalem. Fifty years prior to that, the Jews got the right to settle in Israel by the British Balfour decree and WWI draws to a close. Spiritual eyes are needed to see them. Rule #3. Just wait til after Gonzaga’s move. Lesser conferences don’t make move until the dust has settled in more important ones. But never said all the BSC was moving up.
  11. Great Lakes Airlines suspends flights: https://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/great-lakes-airlines-ceases-flights-after-pilot-shor-447119/ Metro State and United team up to train pilots https://www.denverpost.com/2018/02/06/metro-state-united-airlines-aviation-program/ SUU and Utah St ramping up pilot training http://archive.sltrib.com/article.php?id=5346697&itype=CMSID
  12. Rule #1 Never trust a Fargo or Sioux Falls journalist, as they spout what the XDSU’s want everyone to hear, not the truth. Chapman was a master of this deception, and it continued with Bresciani. The story was always how NDSU barely got in when the MVFC went to nine, because the eastern MVFC teams didn’t want to pay for a flight and SDSU insisted upon it or they wouldn’t join either. Well, guess what, with only seven conference games then, many MVFC schools had to fly anyway to fill out their schedule regardless if NDSU was out or in. But now, lo and behold, there isnt any anger or angst coming from the MVFC when UND got in. Imagine that? Fargo sportswriters were just part of an NDSU propaganda machine designed to keep UND (and USD) out. SDSU relented earlier because it knew if the Big Sky got USD, the Summit would have fallen apart. NDSU didn’t want UND to have any sort of recruiting angle or play ND games, because they wanted to own ND football and had a morbid fear of UND. The NDBoHE doesn’t want people to know how NDSU leadership deceived even them, so they keep a lid on the story by not revealing it.
  13. Guess the Serbian 7’ center at Idaho State is graduate transferring. He has improved big time since his freshman year. Maybe the Serbs on our volleyball team put in a good word for us. But suspect he has bigger fish in mind. https://www.isubengals.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5072
  14. Next, the Argus-Leader will be pushing for Northern St as another team in the Summit. After all, some SDSU posters say Augie and Northern St run rings around USD. Respect both those schools, as Northern and Augie have been in D2 championships, but DI is not something they could financially handle even compared to Western Illinois. Still waiting for Kennedy’s plan to come to light. He didn’t change conferences to birth an NCC 2.0. When Gonzaga has made its move, then things be exciting for a change.
  15. Morton needs an AD position on his resume if he wants to advance. A DII AD spot combined with DI experience may do the trick for lesser DI schools.
  16. Cal Tech and MIT would be there if that was all that was necessary. Loyola hasn’t done much for fifty years, except a men’s volleyball championship. DePaul is so racked with nepotism related internal corruption in its athletic department, that Fox and the Big East must be tired of dealing with it. The Big East needs the Chicago market, but must be growing very weary of supporting DePaul’s misadventures. It like supporting a relative on substance abuse. Don’t think DePaul will get kicked out, as that is rarely done with athletic departments. Fox wants at least 20 Big East conference games per school. Chicago is big enough for two teams. The Big East may float a St Louis / Loyola addition combo to Fox to see if they support it.
  17. Moser, Trump is going to build the wall under the military’s budget, as he considers it national defense. Apparently, the just passed budget includes enough slop indefense spending to allow it. The Left is going to go even more batty as they approved the budget. Its unusual for the Pentagon to allow non military functions at any base, but the President who is the commander in chief will decide what is defense. Elbit is a combined civilian and defense Israeli firm, so if it moves to the US it would be allowed.
  18. Looks like a Gonzaga - MWC deal may be finalized in two weeks for the 18-19 season. https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/gonzaga-to-the-mountain-west-zags-hope-to-reach-conference-decision-in-next-two-weeks/ That would leave the WCC with 9, which isn’t very workable. Denver is on the phone.
  19. So Argus-Leader writer Matt Zimmer was asked on his weekly chats if Augie was getting into the Summit. His reply was “yes”.
  20. Just saw that UND came back from a 9-zip deficit in the final innings to win over Portland St 11-9.
  21. Since you have extolled the virtues of Groenwold and his black widow wife who was a state representative, that more than explains your paranoia about state government out to get Grand Forks. They are the only ones possible to actually give a wonderful government and develop businesses, and we should be worshipping their high and mightiness, at least according to them who treated like crap any person that disagreed with them. Single handedly set back Grand Forks by their nastiness and vindictiveness, and the rest of the state hated and blamed Grand Forks for delivering them to to state offices. They provided a perfect cover for their own narratives and unfortunately, you and others still recite their virtues and philosophies.
  22. Last summer, the MVC fans were complaining loudly about the turd they brought in. If Loyola had been good is basketball in the last 50 years, it rather then DePaul might have been in the.Big East. Loyola has a bigger endowment and has almost as many students. Plus it’s on the much more posh North Side by Lake Michigan The A-10 would do well to nab it and have a travel partner for St Louis.
  23. Good Lord! Tempermental jerks don’t build businesses. He and his wife run off good people, and you follow them?
  24. What Grand Forks badly needs is a home grown corporation. A listed successful corporation brings much wealth, which creates opportunities throughout the community. Fargo had one in Great Plains software, and its just grown from there after being swallowed up by Microsoft, releasing a billion in capital and attracting more programming talent. Brookings has one via Daktronics. Thief River Falls, Warroad, Roseau and Greenbush all have theirs too, otherwise those communities would look more like Halstad or Crookston, whichnstill rely on agriculture and government. Branch operations are nice and provide jobs, but don’t bring in nearly the wealth and corporate affluence.
  25. She potentially a huge get. 5’11” and a slasher. Hope this is the right gal. Edit: FG% are not good.
