  1. Rivals doesn't list an offer from North Dakota, but does list interest from NDSU. But two separate articles months apart indicate offers from UND. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Johnny-Peltz-136956 http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-09-13/sports/ct-spt-0914-prep-foot-feature-1-20120913_1_wheaton-north-s-peltz-john-peltz-falcons http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2011-09-08/sports/ct-spt-0909-prep-naper-north-wheaton-north-20110908_1_joe-wardynski-football-preview-micah-penn
  2. Just looked it up. The Summit League only has six teams (NDSU, SDSU, Omaha, W Ill, Fort Wayne, Oakland), so they almost have to add UND in baseball just to provide a cushion. The Summit League lost Oral Roberts and Southern Utah in that sport. Denver, USD, Kansas City, and IUPUI don't play baseball.

  4. The WAC adds Northern Colorado, but not UND, for baseball. This can't be good, unless the Summit League will add UND. http://www.wacsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=10100&ATCLID=205823758
  5. So with most of the Great West teams moving to the WAC, what will happen to UND baseball? It needs a conference home. There's only four teams left: UND, Northern Colorado, NYIT, and NJIT. UND needs to be in the Summit League or WAC for baseball.
  6. http://www.minotdailynews.com/page/content.detail/id/571498/Williston-State-star-Curtis-coveted-by-NCAA-Division-I-programs.html?nav=5016
  7. Neither UNI or NDSU have offered, but are just stringing him along to see who else they can get first.
  8. Honestly, with Huff and Brekke out of the game, the chance of winning this game was about 1%. With Brekke gone, the rebounding and inside defense will be crap. With Huff gone, nobody matches up with Braun.
  9. Even a signed letter isn't necessarily a guarantee. Ahelegbee is showing continued support, especially with all the other big name schools poking around Tyus Jones. Hopefully Quinton can be the hook to lure in some forwards.
  10. Any heard more about Jordan Hein, QB, Perham? Heard very likely to UND. Has similar skill set as Marcus Hendrickson, also from Perham.
  11. He asked his dentist father specifically about Montana and talked about Montana's program and who knows what else. Normally, it wouldn't be an issue because nobody would ever find out, but this poster posted a synopsis of the conversation about recruiting and talking to his father on eGriz. Really really stupid. If he had talked to a more distant relative there wouldn't any questions, as the NCAA does not forbid that type of indirect contact. Talking to a parent = talking to a recruit. The NCAA put Boise State on probation because one signed recruit who hadn't yet enrolled slept on another players' couch during pre-fall workouts, as the recruit couldn't afford an apartment or hotel for the interim time before he could move into a dorm. Boise State was found guilty of a recruit accepting gifts from another player. The NCAA dish out punishment for flimsy documented violations just to punish the smaller schools - while huge violations at Ohio State and Miami are given punishments that should have amounted to death penalties in comparison to the loss of scholarships that Boise State had to endure. Nothing is proportional to the NCAA: Boise State should have lost a couch in the players lounge, not scholarships. Yes, but any fan here, even if they live on either coast, is still a booster.
  12. That fan is a booster, as his postings on eGriz would be proof according NCAA regs. Same with us: technically we are boosters just because we post here even if we give no money to UND . That type posting may actually prevent Montana coaches from contacting Shortell just to be safe. After all, Montana is already is under investigation by the NCAA.
  13. NCAA regs specifically limit contact with a players' parents or guardians by fans. the fact that the U of Montana (or UND) didn't make contact, but a booster did (and a fan on a message board is a booster), makes Montana athletics potentially guilty in the eyes of the NCAA even though the Montana athletic department did nothing wrong. http://www.aggieathletics.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=27300&ATCLID=205238364
  14. Mussman or his staff have to make the contact, not us.
  15. http://www.twincities.com/sports/ci_22121786/shooter-now-rick-majerus-loved-st-paul A couple of other tidbits from that article:
  16. Interesting thread on eGriz on ex Gopher QB Shortell. http://www.egriz.com...php?f=1&t=60486 The guy posting says Shortell's father is his dentist, who says Montana hasn't been in contact. Interesting that just by posting this, the Griz fan could get Montana in trouble with the NCAA if Montana does pursue Shortell.
  17. They may be sophomores academically, but redshirt freshmen athletically. If he fits with the offensive scheme and his character meshes with the team and coaching staff, go after him. JC QB's too often don't work out.
  18. Yeah, even bizon fans say all their other program have gone in the shi**er because NSU loses in everything else to UND. Heard from all kinds of NDSU that UND would be never ever get ahead of NDSU in athletics again. lol!! Bet even you drank that koolaid, Wyo. buttDIheadstart, buttSummitLeagueisthegreatest, buttMVFC, buttBigSkysucksanyway, buttwrestling, buttBSArenovation For UND fans, it isn't buttfootball but buttwereallydonotgiveashitaboutthebizon, Whereas for FU fans, its really not butthockey, but buttwewatcheverymoveUNDmakesbecauseofourinsecuritycomplex
  19. Never advocated UND leaving the Big Sky. Just was stating that the Summit still really badly wants us.
  20. Guess it's no coincidence that our running game sucks since this "Coach B" left. Carey was never a coach under Lennon, as Lennon left after 2007. Carey arrived in 2008. Correct me if that is wrong.

  22. The "FU" naming straight from the Summit League branding manual, is priceless.
  23. A Western Illinois poster, who seems to be in the know, is claiming that Lindenwood will be the next school the Summit League adds. Thought Lindenwood just moved up to DII from NAIA. Wonder what DU will think about that? http://www.bisonvill...5935#post685935 Also says that the Summit League is still pushing to get UND, but the SL has an image problem. With Lindenwood having a women's hockey team, seems like the SL is trying to add hockey schools to pique UND's interest. Also says that oil is making UND even more attractive. http://www.bisonvill...6113#post686113
  24. The BCS win that got away last year: Northern Illinois is now going to the Orange Bowl vs Florida State. First MAC team to ever go to a BCS bowl. http://sports.yahoo....796--ncaaf.html San Diego State is bowling at home, in the Poinsettia Bowl: http://www.nctimes.c...fb071342cc.html
  25. Forgot about that side of her.
