  1. ISU wins first set 25-19 Tied 16-16 in second. Now 20-20. 25-25 Arghh! 27-25 ISU.
  2. They need to walk in with chips on their shoulders. Plus the pressure is not on them, but the Bobats.
  3. Just a minor correction: ISU is in Pocatello, or "Poky", and is not not named after a mushroom. Lol Wanted to thank you SWSiouxMN for all your fan support. If you could be cloned among the students, all student sections would be fill in all venues.
  4. UND athletic has 21 siblings, some with more history and talents and some with less, some good looking and some still babies. Everyone is happy for their success and that includes me. Football has also been an acheiver, but to groupies like you, you disdain the very siblings that should be encouraged. NO wonder you were a crappy instructor.
  5. As soon as David makes this request, then watchmaker does the exact opposite of what he requested. I wish this forum would ban watchmaker, as he adds nothing and is the resident troublemaker, curmdugeon, naysayer and all around evil-intentioned person. Also wish the town drunk, gfhockey, would be banned from at least this football forum. They are worse than NDSU fans piping in. Constructive criticism is needed in any program. Destructive criticism with no proposed solutions and constant complaining offers nothing, like those posters do.
  6. That would be a really small line up: not that Mitchell was a rebounder, but still.
  7. Thursday night against Idaho State is a key match. Sioux really need a sweep for this weekend, as 4 of their final six are on the road. The last weekend of the season is especially difficult: vs NAU and then SUU, who are challenging us for the 6th and final conference tournament spot. The past five weekends, UND has won the first game and then lost the second. Need to change that pattern with no loss to ISU on Thursday.
  8. Hard nosed is what we need at the DB position. Jackson, Galloway, and Townsend tower over most FCS DB's. The performance with those three and Hardin vs Montana speaks for itself. Next year, UND will have even more depth at WR so it's possible McGill won't get much PT.
  9. As much criticism that Mussman has received, one has to give his staff credit for the recruited WR talent in the pipeline. UND is just loaded. Fletcher, Oliver, and Young would probably start for some FCS teams. Now more than ever, UND needs that indoor practice center to these games can work with the QBs over the winter. With Ivery moved to DB, could McGill be moved there too? 16 Bridges, Romon WR 5-8 154 RFr. Stockton, Calif. (Edison High School) 82 Brown, Pat WR 5-11 166 RFr. 10. When does the band leave for Bozeman? The winds just needs to stay away from Bozeman, as the passing game can handle the rest.
  11. She was a hire from the low budget Buning era, so that along with her record shouldn't make this change any surprise. I' sure Faison wants to challenge for the Big Sky overall sports championship, and with soccer finishing last, that becomes very very difficult. With on off season of recruiting, this team could be turned around quickly.
  12. Fison University, otherwise known as the AC.
  13. Weber will want to play UU,USU, BYU, and even UVU. PSU gets UP, OSU, and maybe even UO, Seattle, WSU etc. SAC has like seven Bay Area teams plus UC Davis and LA area teams. UNC has DU, CU, CSU, AFA, Wyo. Montana and MSU have the most difficulty to schedule due to geography and that they can get rowdy home environments. The Summit League schools are going to be very hard pressed in scheduling if they lose Oakland - they would be down to 14 games. It would make economic sense - travel wise and gate wise - if all of NDSU, SDSU, USD, Omaha, and UMKC all schedule UND, or even play UND twice (like SDSU, WIU have done). Then there are bracket buster and Big10/Big12 games for pay. UND will have much fewer scheduling issues than the other former NCC schools. Have 18 conference games and give the schools the right to schedule other BSC teams non-conference if the conference only schedules one game.
  14. The divisions will be three sets of travel partners in each. North: UND, UNC, MSU, UM, UI, EWU South: NAU, SUU, WSU, ISU, SAC, PSU. The problem is that schedule would only be 16 conference games. Going to a full round robin is 22, which is too many. I think ISU will demand a H/H with Idaho and EWU. Forcing every travel partner to play another travel set H/H in the other division, making 18 games.
  15. That's bull. Because the Great West had so few internal games, it actually had more non-conference games than the MVFC or Big Sky (at the time). Games outside thee conference are what determine conference ratings, as the conference games mean nothing from a conference rating standpoint. Because the Great West played more non-conference games, it's rating was more reliable than other conferences. And you were taught "higher" math where? What a loser!
  16. USD lost almost every player of revelance last year. USD would have one shot at a victory in the Big Sky: Idaho State. More than that, USD'S historical record against UND is horrible.
  17. Sdsu is exactly in the middle of the Summit League, so the lower half there is absolutely atrocious. The soccer performance of UND may not be good, but rather have that than an appearance of mediocrity with membership in the Summit League.
  18. Tom Miller and Wayne Nelson's blog stated Benton may in the running for a starting position.
  19. Shane Benton may be a starter? That would be a pleasant surprise. Isn't he a 3pt and FT specialist? With the amount of depth, that should really help at high elevation games. NAU,UNC, and ISU are especially bad for altitude. EWU, PSU, and Sac St all being lower elevation locations have never really had basketball success, except for a year or two by PSU.
  20. Doubt it is possible to reason with you as your statements are so illogical. When Bauman left the game to when he returned, UND outscored NAU 24-3. That score speaks for itself, as NAU was an entirely different offensive team without Bauman, who I said was the best back in the Big Sky and made NAU a premiere FCS team when he's playing. Egriz has a poll that rates Bauman as overwhelming the best back in the Big Sky So you are saying McKinney and Nguygen are going to be injured this week? Wow. My comments about Bauman were after the game, not before. Are you capable of understanding the difference? Why don't you just say you were wrong with your original post instead of continuously attacking my original post on Bauman and then countering with ridiculous statements..
  21. Not drunk tonight? What's the excuse.
  22. Your statements are about as illogical as they come. Come on, accusing me of advocating the Saints route? What crap is that? Bauman happened to be out for more than a quarter. Like the Colts were the same team without Manning. Come on, use the head that God gave you. When Bauman was out of the game, the UND scored 24 vs 3 points for NAU. NAU is an good offensive team without Bauman, while with Bauman there are a Big Sky championship caliber team.
  23. No. With a healthy Bauman for the full game, NAU would have scored at least 60. When he was out, that is when NAU punted and settled for a FG. NAU blasted through Montana too in Missoula. Not saying the UND defense is good, but it was much better with Bauman out. Still say the LB corps is the primary weakness, so it lacks playmakers. Hendrickson lasy year was the glue that kept the UND defense together - now it has no standup LB.
  24. Ahem. Perhaps you didn't even notice he Bauman was out with some type of injury in the 2nd quarter. When Bauman was out, the NAU offens was not as versatile, allowing the defense to key more on passing, and consequently, UND madea move up. The idea of Bauman being out of the game was real, not hypothetical.
  25. NAU is a very disciplined team that makes few errors. They have two freshmen that are among their top scorers, so they likely will be very good in years to come. One of those freshmen, Payton Bock, has family in Grand Forks and I believe her dad may be a Grand Forks Central grad. NAU has only had three Big Sky games at home so far, and they have yet to play Portland St, Idaho St, N Colo, or UND at home. With that schedule, NAU may well be the favorite to win the conference. Idaho St plays their last six of nine on the road.
