  1. That's factually incorrect, because UNO had hockey nearly 20 years before going DI. UNO actually had to add men's soccer to satisfy the Summit, and dropped wrestling and football because of the costs and because the Summit does not sponsor those sports. The Cornhuskers new arena was built with ice capabilty, so its not highly unlikely.
  2. NDSU isn't out of the question to join the Big Sky, at least according to Fullerton.

  4. Kind of expecting the following: 9.12-13 at Grand Forks vs Middle Tennessee vs Tulane vs South Dakota All three owe return visits. Next year, UND will probably host a tournament with the following teams: George Washington, Miss St, SDSU

  6. The Mid-American Conference has comparable revenues to top Big Sky football schools too. Going FBS isn't that much of a stretch, if some stadiums can be brought up to 18-20,000.
  9. http://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/sports/bobcats/mens-basketball/article_a75db190-ec6e-11e3-851f-001a4bcf887a.html?mode=jqm Sounds like the Las Vegas arenas are already booked. The Orleans Arena might have an opening if the WAC decides to move its tournament to Phoenix. The WAC is deadlocked 4-4 on decided to move the tournament out of Las Vegas.
  10. http://www.miamihera...for-curing.html A small Grand Forks biotech company, Avianax, may have a significant treatment for parvovirus in puppies and dogs next year using goose egg antibodies. The revenue from this might give it the dollars needed to finance human trials for many other diseases, resulting in many more jobs. Another Grand Forks biotech, NovaDigm Therapeutics, has a human clinical trial against a form of fungus in women. If the trial is successful, a major expansion could be in the offing.
  11. I hope there is collateral damage. Kelley and Bresciani have overstayed their welcome. The whole higher education cabal is seriously flawed. http://www.washingto...e-modern-unive/
  12. Agree. UND also out recruited the other Dakota schools for players. Unless you are Kentucky, its never good to have seven schollies available. He did a good job in leveling schollies for future classes.
  13. NDSU has been forced to recruit DII level players. Thought they cleaned house with Kari Thompson but she's still there. No wonder Bisonville doesn't care about it. They always seem to get good non-conference schedules though: Sept 4 -7 : at NMSU, vs Cal, vs Radford Sept 12-13 at Bradley, vs UMKC, vs Miami (O)

  16. Seattle has a number of billionaires, so a billion bucks for a team isn't too much to ask. But the NBA might just add two teams in Europe (like London, Paris, or Barcelona) where they can make bigger bucks. Seattle is the most lucrative empty NBA market in the US left. For the NHL to go to Seattle, an NBA team must first be place in Seattle so there will be a new arena partially financed by the new NBA owner. The NHL owner likely can't finance the arena.
  17. Sept 11 at Brookings at SDSU They must be traveling to a tournament in Vermillion that has not yet been announced. SDSU is hosting a tournament that weekend, but UND is only on SDSU's schedule. USD should be coming to Grand Forks. http://www.yankton.n...1a4bcf887a.html

  20. Talk about butthurt at being rejected by the Big Sky. Those numbskulls still are hoping we get kicked out of the BSC as some sort of poetic justice for rejecting NDSU. http://www.bisonvill...ngs-in-GF/page2 Strange Tony hasn't thrown a party thread for Ryan Bakken's retirement. BV couldn't wrap thair noggins around that Bakken was no longer a sportswriter, but someone who wrote satire. If you joke about NDSU, its always taken seriously down in BV and it is taken to heart like a crime against the state. Ryan Bakken is equivalent to Osama down there.
  21. Think Ballmer shelling out a record $2 B for the Clippers will increase the shot of expansion teams for Seattle and somewhere else (London, England?). The expansion teams would likely have to pay $1 B a piece, which divided by 30 owners means each owner gets a cool $70 M just for expanding the NBA.
  22. He's a construction worker and doesn't smell like swine !@#$, like some bisonville fans.
  23. Every FCS conference worth its salt has a plan, otherwise they just lose members. NDSU has a plan devised by Lakes, Old Shep/Bulk Truck, and Gene Taylor, but no takers. Hell, Bisonville is infatuated with raising the roof on the FargoDome and making it a 40,000 seat stadium courtesy of Fargo taxpayers.
  24. Multi personality disorder is a mental disease. Old Shep is an NDSU poster that started harassing egriz, Wyoming, and MWC board about NDSU going FBS and joining the MWC and here all at about the same time. All of those boards want him banned. Bulk Truck is just another of his board names that should be banned for being an imposter. He is almost as bad as Lakes, who is notorious. How a school can produce so many psychos is an embarrassment to ND. http://www.mwcboard....showtopic=54012 http://www.egriz.com...php?f=1&t=66385 Bulk Truck seems like Bill Kiefer is prison, after starving all the horses. He still wants a bullet train to Hillsboro with an FBS stadium there.
  25. Rodeo's and cow shows don't count. When you come to UND, you need to have showered or bathed in the last week. It's a different standard here: B.O. isn't a badge of honor like at FU.
