http://www.hornetsports.com/generalnews/wanlessretire Terry Wanless is retiring from Sac St. He should be here this week at the Big Sky meetings. Best wishes to Terry in retirement.

This bisonville poser bozo goes on ignore. What a bunch of losers there.

If Henrik Lundqvist had enrolled in a new NDSU hockey program, I'm sure they would be well with nothing else. That's what Ernst gave them: a pitcher that gave them a chance by limiting runs. The rest of the team has no chance: no offensive power.

Bisonville won't refute those comments, so you can stop believing that Taylor's actions aren't sinister. http://www.bisonvill...in-Cities/page4

I have news for you. Gene Taylor is being disingenuous about scheduling UND. It's all talk and no action. Most unbiased people would consider his behavior sinister. Even Kolpack and Izzo consider him to be the problem, but they won't write articles about them because they don't want to lose access to him. Taylor will more or less blacklist them so they can't do their job.

The Big Sky conference will be going FBS. Idaho is joining for football. That changes things. A replacement league for the WAC. The NCHC won't accept DII members anymore: it is eyeing BCS (read B12 and Pac 12) schools that will start hockey. Minot State and NDSU can join the WCHA with Bemidji and Mankato.

Western Kentucky is hosting a 1st Round Game. http://www.wkusports.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/052814aaa.html I suspect we will open at Colorado or Gonzaga.

"Oakley intends to pursue opportunities closer to his family in Michigan." UND offers a number of softball scholarships and will soon practice in the indoor facility. With football at 63, women's scholarships are largely given to basketball, vball, hockey, and soccer for Title IX purposes.

This could really be huge for North Dakota: - See more at: http://www.prairiebi...h.Rlfsgf2v.dpuf There are probably 200,000 bpd of ethane in natural gas plants in this state. Most of that is rejected with the methane and send to consumers to be burned. A cracker plant might consume half of that ethane to make ethylene, and then a polyethene plant could consume the ethylene, which then could be used in a tire plant. Conversely, the ethylene can be used to make a whole myriad of chemicals. A cracker plant is often considered as the holy grail of economic development. Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia have been fighting over a proposed Shell cracker, which was won by Pittsburgh. Pittburgh sees it as a economic savior (see Motley Fool). The Williston area along the Missouri River could be a logical location near the gas plant and as chemical plants need cooling water. Williston's growth could actually see a sharp upturn. If a cracker in Williston happens, it will become the largest city in ND because the demand for workers will be even more than now. Numerous other industries would want to be there, like Houston and Edmonton. http://www.fool.com/...-a-cracker.aspx http://www.timeslead...s.html?nav=5415

Nebraska was kicked out of the prestigious AAU because their research was little more than agriculture based. AAU wanted more broad based research: medical, physics, chemistry, biologics. UND has that with UAS, energy, and medical.

Conference tournament to be in Las Vegas in 2016?
SiouxVolley replied to SiouxVolley's topic in Men's Basketball
From the Idaho State Board: The Big Sky Presidents will be meeting in Grand Forks shortly and may finalize a tournament move to Las Vegas. http://www.bigskyfan...php?f=13&t=5700 Apparently, the MVC is considering a tournament move to Vegas. That would make the Summit the lone holdup in this region. -
Mafia Man: I believe there's far more scorn toward UND from NDSU grads that it is the other way. A number of NDSU grads, including some relatives, would not support their child's decision to go to UND as they hate it so much. Your father is worldly and enlightened enough to allow you the freedom to go to UND. Many NDSU alumni would disown their children before they allowed it, included some bison trolls here. The intensity of hate coming from NDSU is truly contemptible. Your father was open enough to overcome it.

Is this the one? Seattle has so many Costco, Amazon, Microsoft, and Boeing millionaires, the city is emerald in more ways than one.

Scheels is putting in $13 million remodeling the old Target. Will be interesting to see What ever happened to the talk about Fleet Farm and Home Depot building on Gateway? A Life Style Center could go in at 47th Ave S, if they ever build a overpass.

Wait til construction starts on the new fertilizer plant N of GF. Two or three thousand workers looking for housing. Add the Grand Sky UAS park on top of it, and we'll see rental costs. approaching oil patch costs http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/northrop-grumman-set-to-sign-lease-with-grand-sky/2014/05/16/70889c78-dcda-11e3-a837-8835df6c12c4_story.html

Where will they play? Minot State, Dakota College, and Williston State all recruit for their teams (Dakota College and Williston State are technically Jr Colleges ). Should be another sport where we can whoop some NDSU butts, as they refuse to play varsity.

San Jose's Sharks. The money in the bay area is mostly in the stretch fromsouth of San Francisco to San Jose. (Googles, Apples, Ciscos, Intels , Facebooks) Possible the biggest concentration of wealth in the world. The Lakers traded a city, Milwaukee, for Lew Alcindor. Aren't you the beer badger, the twin of the honey badger? Use you taste and smell organs.

Milwaukee, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Kansas City, San Diego, Portland, Regina/Saskatoon Austin and San Diego need arenas. The others need ownership groups. Regina/Saskatoon needs people for ratings. Milwaukee, San Antonio, and Portland have the problem that they have competing NBA teams. Austin has UT. Salt Lake is considered too small unless they didn't have an NBA team. Same as New Orleans. Tulsa wants an pro team like OKC, but won't get the NHL because its too small. OKC has a lot of corporate support now (like Cheasepeake, Devon, Continental Resources) that didn't exist ten years ago. Houston in like the largest metro region without an NHL team (Atlanta is close).

They are building again and.most.have seen their stock.prices rebound and more. Alberta connections have been very.good for them. A couple of years ago Bruckheimer would have been a total fool to pursue it.

A casino probably wants 200 - 500 tickets. Times that by 20 to 40 casinos and your talking some real money. That come back for some real action after the game. But the real key is getting suite tickets for high rollers. Every casino wants high rollers.
