You aren't aware apparently that FBS conferences disdain affiliates. Hawaii has with the MWC and Navy with the American have the last affiliate deals. So the MVC will offer NDSU an affiliate FBS membership. You are apparently a comedian.
-
But the Valley would not take the Dakotas with them. That is the point. NDSU or SDSU or USD don't have a conference that is looking out for their FBS interests. UND has the Big Sky, which has our back. Affiliations mean little, especially at the FBS level. Witness NMSU and Idaho. If the MVC was serious about NDSU not leaving them, they would offer a full membership. They have refused that and it speaks volumes how much NDSU is valued by the MVC.

UND (10-7) @ MSU (8-9) (3/5 3PM Central)

At least UND should have a warm up game before the quaterfinals. Byes and double byes often don't suit other teams. Reno is not at much elevation either, as compared to the Montanas. As much as I would like to get an NCAA bid (it would be a play-in game), this team needs a new coachapter to have a prosperous future. -
8-10 AM tomorrow. There's a calendar on UNDsports.Com for spring practices.

NDSU fans are like hayseeds at a MVC country club. They have these awards they so proudly show but none of the members are impressed and most are turned off. Wichita State rules the roost monetarily and after the last add of Loyola Chicago, Wichita State is owed big time for giving the MVC deep runs in the dance. Wichita State will pick who they want for an FBS MVC, and it won't be NDSU.
-
No Dakota school would ever get a full membership to the MVC. FBS conferences are not like FCS, where any Ton, Dick, and Harry can get an invite. FBS conference are choosy because there is bucks involved and prestige. NDSU won't get any credit for their five natty's. If that was important to the MVC, you'd already be in.
-
Why is Wichita St planning an FBS team again when there is no place that will take them except the MVC, which has to? Wichita St is attractive as anon-football school. Why ruin that and start football?
-
So you saying the NDSU fan base gets more worked up over Indiana St and Missouri St than the Montanas and E Wash? Wichita St doesn't have anywhere to go. The most effective G5 model is with ten schools, not 14 like CUSA. They won't take a startup football program off the bat. But Wichita St wants football now. Could it be that they know avenue is opening up for FCS to FBS conferences?
-
The Valley may invite NMSU and Denver as travel partners. It would need at least on more football school to go FBS. Bet on Sam Houston St and Lamar long before NDSU as Wichita St wants a Texas presence for the league, not a Dakota presence. NDSU fans expecting any allegiance from the MVC are in for a very rude awakening. They'd push your naked body out of the car in a -30 blizzard.
-
A new president would jump at an offer if presented. The traveling itineraries on UND hockey fans are the biggest priority to a new Prez.
-
That didn't stop Johns Hopkins.
-
Just imagine, St Clown can not make Title IX work, but NDSU can!
-
The pro have nothing to do with hockey and everything to do with academics.

Like the idea of a hawk head morphing into a jet. Some symbol where either one is visible.
-
Turns out, the CFP earns each G5 conference $10 million, plus incentives that work out an average to $2 mill per G5 conference. So it's in the Sun Belts best interest to stay at ten teams, thereby maximizing income. If the stayed at 12, it's less money for everybody. CUSA might be hurting now as it has 14 teams.
-
Bresciani already did when he raised student fees.
-
2018 would start any transition. But it would need a rule change. The Montanas would want to be in the center of things, so EWU, UC Davis, Cal Poly would be in for them to play.
-
An FBS conference needs eight teams, not six. Perhaps Spears meant with six additional team beyond Idaho and NMSU, they caneed stay FBS. The Big Sky has talked about FBS and FCS divisions for some time, often called a research division (FBS) breaking off in admin vernacular.
-
Bret McMurphy, ESPN, has tweeted that Idaho and NMSU will not be extended beyond 2017. The ball is in the NCAA's and Fullerton's court.
-
After March 10th the ball will get rolling.
-
Apparently you are not aware of Phase II of the HPC or the stadium drawings by ICON. Some very significant clues have been in the Herald in the past decade.
-
Wait until after March 10th, and then Fullerton will be all over the papers talking about FBS. The Presidents and Foundations are spearheading individual schools prep for FBS, but Fullerton has to get the rules changed. The wailing on bisonville will be unheard of when the rules are changed. It won't be a meltdown, but a volcanic eruption: UND paving the way for NDSU to go FBS too. That what you trolls fear most.
-
Nearly all of Walsh County showed up for that championship game because Grafton was in it.
-
You have to think, but maybe you are not capable of that. Fullerton has kept his trap shut lately, because the Belt, fearing a new G5 league, could extend Idaho out of spite. Then the P5 would not have a charity reason to grant FCS conferences a way to FBS. It would seem totally selfish for the P5 then, if they weren't helping a victim, Idaho. As soon as Idaho is released, Fullerton will start talking FBS again.
-
Maybe the smaller teams should have their own tournament. Langdon, Crosby, Watford City, Rugby could separate from Bottineau and Park River can separate from Grafton. Wahpeton can join. Mayport and Northwood could join. Make it AA and A tournament. Smaller Class A teams like Shanley, Jamestown, Devils Lake, St Mary's would participate to the lower level.
