  1. It has always been for a 2018 FBS transition beginning if you had paid attention.
  2. Some people are just not intellectually gifted enough to think like a president would. I didn't include Idaho St's perceptions in my earlier prediction, so that has changed things. So you bizon trolls think the Big Sky would pass up an historic opportunity to take over an FBS conference, you are truly delusional. Probably belong on a cartoon board with six year old sausages. The Milwaukee Brewers may have a slot for you in their sausages runs. A UND FBS would interest FSN, as well as its hockey team. The Big Sky Presidents probably knew of UND's potential donors before UND was invited to the BSC. UND already meets the FBS scholarship and team requirements without 22 added slots. UND has a bigger endowment than most of the Sun Belt. Unlike the Sun Belt and MAC, UND'S media footprint includes a whole state and the MSP region. Dropping baseball and men's golf would naturally happen before an FBS move for UND. Why should UND be FCS, but Bowling Green, Ball St, Miami, C Mich, E Mich, Kent St, Troy, Coastal Car, Ga Southern, LaMonroe, Ark St, USA, and Ga St can be FBS? UND has much more fan support and endowments than most of them.
  3. The Texas Tech schedule shows that TCU will be playing NDSU and SDSU in the Bunker gym in Fargo. Guess UTEP will play those two schools too in reverse order, so both TCU and UTEP will get three games out of the flight.
  4. Nelson seems more a fit for a Mayville St or HS sports reporter. Seems like fairness and participation is his mantra, and that doesn't jive well for DI. The way baseball was cut could have been handled much better by Faison and UND, but cuts are an every year part of life now. One has to adjust and spring back up.
  5. On Wednesday, Idaho will seek approval for Idaho's Board of Education for a football move to the Big Sky. The meeting will be at Bronco Stadium in one of their fancy suites, so Boise St fans will be gloating for a week and Idaho St fans will be happy that Idaho voluntarily took themselves down to their level. But I still think this is all a ruse, and Idaho is only doing this for the political points with the Board. In a week or more, the Big Sky will announce that it is considering swapping schools with the WAC. Idaho will have no choice but to go with the Montana schools. Idaho St cannot move to FBS because their second to BYU in their part of the state and don't have alumni support. The Idaho Board will not begrudge Idaho for moving, after all the Board approved of the Big Sky and it's schools. Idaho will still say staying in FBS will only happen with an increase in donations, which the alumni will oblige. It will be a brilliant public relations move by Staben, and his Idaho St and Boise St board members will not find fault with his decisions although he was playing with them all the time. Bizon and Jack trolls will be sick and despondent again.
  6. Noticed that bison73 and others are trying to convince others on bozoville that the remodeled BSA is just a step to a better conference. A lot of their fans are complaining that the BSA won't be big and swell enough for a step up in conferences. Bison73 and others are saying that the BSA will just be for wrestling, women's buckets, and volleyball when Fargo builds a new buckets addition to the FDOME and builds a new football stadium for anow FBS or P5 league. Guess there is others reason that he wants UND to stay FCS.
  7. So I guess the athletic departments peons at Maryland, Nebraska, West Virginia, Louisville, Rutgers, TCU, Utah, Colorado, etc knew they were changing conferences too a year or two before ... not. You proved you know nothing about conference changes. Those people are the last to know.
  8. An FBS conference must have eight fully participating FBS members. That means eight schools that play both FBS and basketball. A conference like the CAA, MVC, or MVFC cannot be a theoretical FBS conference without major membership changes. The WAC would need those changes too, but just swap some Big Sky FCS with WAC non-football members.
  9. Hajdu and anybody else in the AD department wouldn't know about stretch strategic plans. Faison would and maybe Brekke, but that's it.
  10. And it can't be an FBS conference without other full members that play football. If it merged with the WAC it was possible, which was my point.
  11. The SEC and Big 12 are on the verge of prohibiting FCS scheduling. A guarantee game against North Texas or Wyoming makes much more sense than against NDSU.
  12. Seven FBS or FBS desiring schools would have to be invited to WAC. Always said a conference needs eight FBS full members , but bizon trolls never seem to get it. The WAC can bestow an FCS member FBS privileges according to the NCAA. One FBS and seven FCS members can become an FBS conference, but only in the WAC
  13. No. UMass, ODU, UConn and Ga St used to be football members before they got FBS offers. JMU, Delaware, Stony Brook, Albany, UNH, and Towson have FBS potential. Villanova is a CAA football member too and flirted with Big East fb membership when the Big East used to be a fb conference.
  14. CAA teams never were invited to the WAC and control assume control of the WAC'scout invite mechanisms. NMSU, Seattle, and formerly Idaho and Denver were in control and could have invited a whole conference. WAC Commissioner Hurd, who is from Minot originally, said an FCS conference from the Midwest wanted to merge with the WAC and make a bunch of its schools FBS. But those schools would then kick out Idaho and Seattle, so they put the kabosh to any merger and the MVC is FCS to this day.
  15. If a league has eight FBS teams that are fully transitioned and are full members, the NCAA will declare it an FBS league. Pretty simple, but not to someone who has never read the NCAA manual. A new FBS league wouldn't get a cut of the CFP though, as that contract is negotiated with the FBS leagues and not the NCAA. A renegotiated contract is upcoming in the mid 2020's. That may be bigger money for G5's than now.
  16. Seattle, GCU, UVU, and Bake will get an FCS Big Sky slots, along with Dixie St and Azusa Pacific. UMKC might be able to stay in an FBS league w/o football and host a bb tournament which was supposedly promised them. They didn't want to be in the Slummit, as traveling in the WAC was more enticing. UTRGV and Chicago St got a conference to play in. UTRGV also can play in the Big Sky for football if it doesn't get a Southland slot.
  17. It already is a rule for the WAC and you and other bizon trolls are apparently are too dim witted to realize that.
  18. On the AAU thread here, you defend Bresciani's vision for the near future as being reasonable and we don't know what's coming yet. There is not a dissenting voice from you about how the bizon will get on Big12 invite on bozoville on the latest thread.
  19. Music therapy may have practical applications to Alzheimers patients and others, but it's not in demand jobwise. Just heard a radio report that it and other majors like art history, English Lit, Latin, and Theology were the majors least in demand.
  20. Boise St has said it will not play Idaho again, which puts a major dent into Idaho's ticket take. No doubt Boise St is trying to put a stake through Idaho football politically and economically, just as NDSU has tried to do to UND football (conference affiliation and not scheduling H and H games). With the fall game upcoming vs Montana St, that could change projections. Idaho hasn't had many western FBS teams that will bring in fans to Moscow, except maybe Wyoming and Utah St. A WAC FBS revival really needs two FBS teams to kick it off.
  21. So Big Sky schools going FBS is a wild prediction, but somehow you consider NDSU getting an AAU vote in favor of it or NDSU getting a Big12 invite are not. That tells anyone that you are a clueless troll that throws sausages around to gain favor, because your ideas are sausages to begin with. My whole premise was that Big Sky schools were strategically making FBS plans and it didn't matter how they got there, as there was a pathway known to them.
  22. Found it interesting that the CoBPA will have two new majors, Bachelor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Bachelor of Leadership.
  23. Bizon trolls have been deranged by this thread and have been saying for more than a year and FBS Big Sky move can't happen. But yet when it is revealed that the WAC can indeed make invitactions from FCS to FBS, which proved this thread more than legitimate, they are still in denial. The bizon trolls always take the word of administrators at face value, as they always have taken Chapman and Bresciani at their word, and one should never do that. The UAB president dropped football, and then intense pressure from students, alumni, and Birmingham not only brought it back, but gave it a new stadium. UAH dropped hockey, but then it was resurrected after intense pressure. Idaho may also be attempting to fake out the WAC schools, who may be opposed to any changes. Stay tuned.
  24. Looks like there is a serious movement in Alaska to unify the three U ALASKA campuses under one accreditation and administration. That could lead to the death of UAF or UAA hockey. Right now, looks like UAA would retain most of the team sports except hockey, which UAF would retain plus individual sports like skiing, rifle. If this happens, the WCHA schools can't batch about having to travel twice to Alaska.
  25. From previous comments from Alabama admin more than a year ago, the Tide seem serious about hockey. Since Saban became football coach, Bama enrollment has seriously grown, especially from Northern states. Hockey would only further the appeal to students from the north.
