President Kennedy Message on Athletics
SiouxVolley replied to fightingsioux4life's topic in Other Sports
If the budget was truly an issue, FCOA would be cut first. That isn't happening. FBS won't happen til 2020 at the earliest. This is just the first step in a Big Sky / WAC realignment with some Southland and MVC schools brought in for good measure. Kennedy is selling it as cost cutting, until a big facilities donor steps forward.- 2,150 replies

Mack Brown and a committee haven't finalized UTRGV's football plans yet. Seems awfully strange that the new soccer stadium for the USL's Rio Grand FCS Toros suddenly isnt big enough even though it seats 9400. The Houston Dynamo own that team so it's not like the USL team can go MLS. Why else would Edinburgh plan to expand it to 24k but for FBS?
-
GCU isn't starting varsity ice hockey. Their historic announcement this morning is that they will be building or renovating ten athletic facilities in the next two years, and an ice rink isn't one of them.
-
Apparently, Edinburgh TX is going to expand their minor league soccer stadium to 24 k seats, which is not needed for their soccer team. Sounds like a possible FBS team and stadium for UTRGV. No word yet on the league that will give Wichita St a shot at FBS.
-
And they announced a women's club team last week. Maybe the fans just got wires crossed.
-
Some Grand Canyon University fans think GCU may be starting hockey. An "historical" announcement is Tuesday. Think football is more likely. GCU's club team plays in Ice Peoria, which doesn't have much seating.

Concordia-St Paul is the first Minnesota school to offer a lax program with scholarships, but only for women. Hemline and Augsburg have DIII programs for women.

Ark St has a med school and an FBS team, but that's about it. Mo St or LA Tech would be better academic choices and are the second public in their respective state, but they too don't have enough media eyeballs. Memphis beats all of their regional rivals them except it's academics aren't too good either. N Ill tries to sell itself based on proximity to Chicago, but it been drawing less than 15k recently because of Thursday night MAC games. It's academics on par with St Cloud St, so it is as if SCSU was making a bid, if it had an FBS team. Many of those schools are getting ready for an AAC bid, and a Big 12 bid is only a dry run.

Seems like Houston and Cincy will get in. BYU won't because of their honor code that impacts GLBT students.

Coming from the troll balcony, that is high praise for my postings. At least they are hitting the targets.

Deadspin.com has a new NDSU article today, calling Bresciani's pomposity breathtaking. That goes for NDSU fans too, as their pomposity knows no limits.
-
So you are saying it is perfectly acceptable to lie to the public and media, as long as the lying is done by a bizon official? Obviously, you napped through an ethics class as did your Bizonville sausage friends.
-
Bresciani just lost a big past supporter as the Forum has come out with an editorial stating Bresciani should resign. Let a war between Forum Communications vs NDSU fans commence!
-
The biggest irony in all this is that Kolpack's tantrums will end an NDSU's Presidents term. Congrats to Kolpack for firing Bresciani!
-
Unfortunately, most NDSU fans love the lies and coverups by Bresciani and Chapman that they want statues to honor their lies and deceit. Wished I would have thought of getting Kelley's texts by FOIA on the nickname. Kelley was made of the same cloth. Fortunately, we didn't worship or even esteem him.
-
Bresciani clearly wanted Matt Larson to take the fall for this. Who knew? The Forum is doubly at fault as they wanted the restrictions if they won it. A total lying circus on both sides. But that's the bizon way. Bresciani for USA President, as he's awfully good at lying.
-
Jorgensen may have announced this and pushing for it, but he did not have the authority to make the decision. Larsen and Bresciani made the decision. Bresciani is just try to get the Forum back as an ally in his battle with Hagerott et al.
-
This is just an attempt by Bresciani to save his job. He doesn't care if Larsen and Jorgensen lose theirs.
-
The Jubilee is here for NDSU! Bisonville is in meltdown and Kolpack is at the official Voice of the Bizons throat on twitter.

ECU has a big football stadium that looks good on TV, but their other sports basically suck. ECU is really the only football first school in NC, although Appy St is too but with only a short time in FBS. ECU as a football only member of the Big12 makes some TV sense and WVU would want it, but no other Big12 school. See alot more ECU stuff than NCSU stuff in Tenn, but there are plenty of Tar Heel t-shirt fans around. Wouldn't surprise me if OU, UT, and KU could be invited to the B1G after their GoR's expire later, which is why the Big12 agreed to expand. Sounds like Cincy, Memphis, Houston, and BYU will all get Big12 offers. BYU might get a football only one, as their other teams can't play on Sundays. The AAC would lose three teams, and they backfill with at least one. Rice is almost assured of an offer. Old Dominion might be another choice. Wichita St could be a non football choice, as Navy is football only. That would throw a wrench in the WAC FBS plans and that might be what is the holdup. Wichita St could then have a four or five year plan for AAC FBS. If ODU gets an AAC offer, JMU would probably get aa CUSA offer.

Jubilee apparently includes the downfall of the Democrat Party, as it is revealed as a party of gangstas by wikileaks.
-
You just certified yourself as a moron like the other bison trolls. Their are numerous tweets and articles about Big Sky expansion, but no schools were named.
-
There has now been proposals for a new arena for the Islanders near Shea Stadium and at Belmont Park. The Queens location would be better for Islanders fans, who are mostly in Nassau and Suffolk counties. The Barclay's Center for hockey leaves a lot to desire.
-
Forgot South Dakota and S F Austin as two more possible expansion candidates. Funny how the bizon trolls aren't responding to the Big Sky Commish talking more expansion.
-
Why would the new Big Sky Commish talk about expansion when the league already has 14 fb teams? Who would she expand to? Have already given my answers: swap the higher budget teams with the WAC and swap them for the WAC's western teams. Add Dixie St, Azusa Pacific, and Cal Baptist as new DI teams. With Wichita St (fb only), Sam Houston St, Lamar, Denver, and Mo St (fb only), the two leagues would have at least 10 fb teams each.
