  1. The Star Tribune checked enough to concoct a story about how Philando was such a wonderful cook at a school. But his Facebook posting show gang connections. Police reaction to an armed robbery suspect in a car is much different than to a broken tail light. Hispanic cops are supposedly much less racist than white cops, according to the libtards. Dayton helped escalate the incident so many cops were shut around the country.
  2. UND is much more capable of an FBS move than Coastal. UND hockey will end up affiliated with PAC12 teams.
  3. Castile did have a concealed carry permit from Hennepin County, as he used to live in Robbinsdale. This was reported by the Star Tribune, but it still hasn't reported why he was stopped for suspicion of an armed convenience store robbery.
  4. The Twin Cities are going through a rough time with Philando Castile death. Was horrified when I first heard of it but now not so sure. Apparently, he and his GF were stopped because they matched suspects of a convenience store armed robbery days earlier right down the street. Castile did not have a concealed carry permit according to Ramsey County nor was his car stopped because of a broken tail light. Those were lies perpetrated by his GF that caused on uproar and deaths through much of the country. He appeared to be a passenger but the video was inverted to make it appear so. Also, the Somali gangs that are terrorizing Lake Calhoun neighborhoods by threatening rape and Sharia law have not been reported by the media.
  5. Agree totally. As much as some people dismiss this, FCS as a brand is looked at as inferior. A high performing athletics school like Wichita St doesn't like the FCS label. Why should UND.
  6. Spiritual concepts are beyond certain people.
  7. Still no word from any of the bizon trolls where Wichita State is going to find an FBS home. WSU hates the idea of MVFC. Troll minds can't wrap around that concept.
  8. Would argue the same for UND, as hockey will predominate football at the FCS level. Whereas at NDSU, FCS is where they hang their hat.
  9. Since bizon trolls are such all-knowing of everything FCS, why does Wichita St hate the idea of the MVFC? That has never been answered here even though even Kolpack has written about it. Why does the Wichita St President want FBS and seems likely they will get a football only invite? Which conference will give them that invite? Those questions have never been answered by trolls. Wichita St is a lot like UND. Basketball school vs hockey school. Similar enrollments. Both emphasize aerospace, business, and entreprenship. Why would Wichita St be after FBS, when they could be in the penultimate FCS conference, but clearly reject it.?
  10. Miami and W Mich want to partner with DI schools in their region. Only Bowling Green is available. If Buffalo, Syracuse, Pitt, and maybe Ohio or Akron or Oakland or Illinois St start hockey, Miami and W Mich probably would want out just for the traveling fans and a tournament in Detroit or Cleveland or Buffalo. But getting those schools to start hockey at the same time is almost impossible. Miami and W Mich don't add much to the NCHC coffers, which mostly come from the playoffs and Mpls tournament. Right now, the NCHC is best fit. BGSU probably would take them and the AHA western teams to start a league right now, but Miami and WMU know that that league is not powerful enough in finances or attendance drawing or in performance to make a switch.
  11. FBS is easier to afford than FCS if a school has a stadium of greater than 15 k. Cutting baseball and men's golf may have been a cost cutting move on paper, but it also prepared the way for FBS as UND wouldn't have Title IX issues which would have made FBS vastly more expensive. Why did the Big Sky go to 12 full members and 14 football members if it didn't have something up its sleeve? The Montanas told the rest of the Big Sky that they were WAC bound if they didn't accept UND and USD. Having a Dakota presence is big for the Montanas, but why? It certainly hasn't paid dividends for them up to this point. This is a long game where all the cards haven't been played yet. The Montanas in 2011 were not ready for FBS. They have made progress on that front. That concept of planning long term is lacking among many posters.
  12. A P5 line is too exclusive. An FBS line plus other power basketball conferences is more inclusive and would be almost half of the current DI. Kennedy and Faison have more information on this than we do.
  13. Big 12 Commish Bob Bowlsby was quoted in the Des Moines Register that an NCAA split is likely coming. Possibly a school would have to be FBS plus a few higher basketball conferences like the Big East, A10, WCC, and MVC. Approximately half the DI school would get demoted. That is the biggest reason that UND should move up.
  14. The UTRGV blue ribbon committee for football, led by Mack Brown formerly of the Longhorns and Oliver Luck of the NCAA, is having its second meeting on July 13, and a consultant group will be there. Since UTRGV already is in the WAC, it may get an option to go FBS at the same time as Wichita St. UTRGV serves a population of 1.3 milion in the four adjoining counties, so it's got that and a Longhorn football loving community. Thought UTRGV (which combined UT-PA and UT-Brownsville last year) would only consider FCS, but FBS could be in their plans, especially with Brown and Luck aboard.. With over 30k students and growing fast, a student fee could go a long way to making FBS a reality. Many big commuter type schools like UTSA, FAU, FIU, MTSU etc haven't had much difficulty raising funds for FBS, because there are so many students contributing fees. If a WAC gets going again, it would almost certainly get the Boise Potato Bowl (WAC rather than MAC vs MWC). It could also get new bowls at the Vikings Stadium (WAC vs MAC or Big 10), Seattle (WAC vs MWC or PAC12), and maybe one of the bowls in Texas or Frisco could start an FBS one.
  15. UND would need major changes to facilities for FBS to work. When the REA opened, attendance tripled and has stayed up when so many thought that it was just temporary. But a move to FBS will have a profound impact on recruits, as normally they want the highest offer. Wichita St will need a few years to get an FBS team on the ground - probably two years at FCS - so a new WAC will need more than eight football teams. Idaho's stipulation that Montana, Montana St, and UND would have to be part of the Big Sky or they wouldn't be a part of it seems even more key now. UMKC moving to the WAC makes more sense if the WAC returns to FBS and the plains even though UMKC doesn't have football plans. UMKC would probably host conference basketball tournaments.
  16. Was told by an author of many spiritual books that I shouldn't talk about spiritual things before people that don't have a basic spiritual understanding. I violated that rule here. "Don't cast your pearls before swine," especially sausage eating trolls..
  17. Guess there are only whales left in the Euro, hah? Oh yeah, there is a Wales that is an actual minnow still. Iceland making it that far in the Eurosame would be analogous to a Grand Forks high school all star basketball team beating a New York City one. Cleveland won the NBA title not because the players were of great humility, but Cleveland as a city has been a button of jokes for 60 years. France could well win the Euro, but the attacks against it by Isis have greatly humbled it.
  18. In fairness, the Fight Sioux logo has been brought down, as too many people had faith in it, only to be replaced by a dove.
  19. By far the nicest compliment you've given me. I was very concerned about the financial markets last summer, so I sold most of my stocks and mutual funds and bought and gold and silver mining stocks and mutual funds. Those stocks have done ridiculously well, and now the Big boys are telling everyone to do the same.
  20. Basketball is not good. The WAC will go ahead with FBS invites regardless of what UND does. The Montanas and Idaho will accept. The UND President will hem and haw a bit, until a major gift is given. NDSU fans are full of faith in themselves, which is a different kind of faith than what I'm referring to.
  21. You proclaimed ignorance of the Jubilee Year set down by God in Leviticus 25, so that is not surprising. In a Jubilee year, the humble shall be exalted, slaves shall be set free, people will get their ancestral family lands back, and if the country has been Godly, will be greatly blessed. If not, the financial markets will be terribly disruptive, as they have been. Sports are not immune to a Jubilee year. In the NCAA, three FCS teams would big titles: Villanova in basketball, Coastal Caroline in baseball, and UND in hockey. The Euro Cup should follow suit and the WAC shall be FBS again.
  22. San Diego could enter the picture for the 32nd NHL team, rather than Seattle. AEG is proposing a $1.4 billion investment that includes an NHL/NBA quality arena for San Diego. It would be entirely privately owned, so the city wouldn't have to pay. If the Chargers leave for LA, San Diego would need more pro teams Virginia Beach's new arena will be financed with mostly Chinese money. An NHL team is wanted with that arena.
  23. Ronaldo blasted the Icelanders for their "small mentality", but could not beat the Icelanders. Reminds me of FU fans that have blasted UND for years about their "small mentality" towards DI. Who will get the last laugh?
  24. Small northern nordic locales overachieve if they set their minds to it. Iceland's coach is a dentist who isn't paid big bucks. Iceland's team is most remarkable for having small egos. We wont have to get an invite to the MWC or MAC like Fargo insists they need to go FBS. Egos aren't allowed, which is where FU and their fans seem to excel at. Iceland, Leicester City, and Bournemouth all had checked egos. Bubba requires the same, as it's team first
  25. Wichita State's impending FBS announcement is a main reason that I think an FBS WAC will be announced soon, likely in July when a new President Kennedy can bless it. Wichita isn't getting a bid from the American or CUSA or MWC until it has football running. It wouldn't take a bid from the Sun Belt or MAC, as those would demand that all the Shockers bring in its basketball, which Wichita St would refuse. NMSU and Wichita St needs a Texas presence, which Sam Houston, Lamar, and/or Stephen F Austin can provide at the FBS level. With Mo St also in the south, the north could easily take UND, the Montanas, Idaho, and EWU. If this doesn't happen by the end of this July for 2018, I personally shut my trap about it.
