Definitely not doing that. But I still think she leaves something to be desired. How spoiled we were to have 8 years of Husfeldt and Griffin.

Kind of looks like Wentz

That's on the defense and setter not getting the ball to where she needs it. Been my gripe the whole season. I honestly think Mattson would been better than Rautio. I thought coach already burned Vetter's shirt, so why she doesn't play at all must say something about the current status of UND volleyball's setter position. Needs major improvement for next year.

Perhaps it wasn’t even Kayla that I was seeing.

All excellent points.

Besides being something fun for the fans who can afford to do it, what other benefits are there from a UND standpoint? I mean, it's a hockey game that could be played in GF with people spending money in GF restaurants and bars. Does the arena or UND benefit financially from the ticket sales? Also, I'd like to see a little more coordination with the Football schedule, as to not have conflicts. I was at the game in MSG, but actually was bummed that I would miss the first home playoff football game in years (although, in the end, it was probably better that I was in NYC, with the football game ending the way it did). The Vegas hockey game seemed to trump the important home football game this year.

Wow, a loss to lowly SDSU. Hope we're better next year.

Apparently a date for this has not been set, is that correct?

So here we sit at 5-3 with, what I believe, is still a chance to control our own destiny for the 2018 season. Next 3 games all have to be wins, and it starts on the road against Idaho. I am disappointed with our showing (especially defensively) against Weber St., but hopefully being exposed leads to improvements. After the last loss (Idaho St.), UND rattled off three dominating performances over lesser opponents, and I expect the same thing now. Playoffs or bust.

As much as winning a national championship in football is probably the ultimate goal, I think being the team that takes down NDSU from reigning supreme, even if it didn't result in a natty, would be enough for most. What that says about UND football you can come to your own conclusions. People seemed pretty happy about it in the '90s, even though we weren't winning the big one.

So where are we in polls tomorrow? Close score loss to a top 5 team at home. I’d say we deserve to stay put where we were.
-
Post-Weber assessment: special teams stepped up, defense didn’t, offense underwhelmed, but against a tough D. we’re definitely not worthy of a seed. Home Playoff game will have to be bought.
-
Since I brought up the qb sneak, I’m curious to see if it will work against a defense like Weber’s.
-
Had he made one already? If so, then kick it. If not, qb sneak.
-
Just something else to note: that lefty hitter for Omaha is the hardest spiker I’ve seen play in the Betty, period. They had some good servers, too. We were certainly outmatched.
-
So I finally saw some good volleyball in the middle of the 4th set, but they couldn’t sustain it. That would have been an epic rally if they had forced a 5th set. We just don’t have a “go to “ player who we can rely on to get us a side out.

I think coach wisely switched back to Fraase at libero. Although, fraase has had some rough patches tonight.
-
Anyone know what’s up with Kayla Williams? She’s dressed in street clothes and sitting behind the team. She isn’t participating in the team huddles like the ones out for injuries.
-
Not really sure how it works.
-
So my take on the game: Offense - advantage UND Defense - draw Special Teams - advantage WSU Keys to the game for a UND victory: Score when given your chances on offense. Rely on your defense to get the ball back to the offense. Obviously, well executed special teams would be ideal, but a flub is probably ok, so long as it is not a scoring play for them.

My recollection from the Montana game is that he'd put a kickoff around the 13 yard line. If Leach can indeed kick it into the end zone, I would hope they would instruct him to do so in this game.
-
It would be tough to outbid UNI, according to my NDSU alum coworker.
-
My thoughts exactly. Second week in a row where someone beat me to my score!
