No he does have a decent defensive mind and he knows where to be. The article did mess one thing up, I believe they said he would fill out more or get bigger and that won't happen. That kid is an ox. However, the article did mention he is a plus skater and I wouldn't go that far. He has to stop taking dumb penalties and he has to become more consistent (over an entire season).

I'd move thompson ahead of Gage.

Thompson has been a very solid dman the past several weeks (I believe he won NCHC dman of the week several weeks ago) he can't sit. Also, although 27 takes one absoutely moronic offensive zone stick penalty a game....he's hot. He won't sit either. Somehow Poolman either needs to play a bottom six forward role or move back to D. He hustles but he doesn't bring much offensively to Parks or Mac.

Great post. Officiating was terrible last weekend, but even on a better weekend it is still poor. You are correct the officials officiate to the scoreboard or number of penalties assessed to each team. Regardless, the make total penalties equal by the end of the game in most cases.

I do agree with u on that. Right when that happened I believe I noted that no goal would affect the outcome of the game....and it did. Too bad for the boys, that should have been a huge sweep.

We need a sweep. So far our only sweeps are against bottom feeders. Makes me nervous going into tourney time. Need to play a complete 120 here soon.

I've noticed the same. Und always takes hits early in the season because refs call too many weak penalties. Towards the end of the year the refs start swallowing their whistles (which typically affects the gophers negatively).

That's exacty what I compared it to. Seguins just happened to result in an injury. Moore should sit next game imho.
