I honestly think hak and team needs to take some notes on some of these teams. There is no reason we can't have a top notch pp. I really like our pp once we gain entry into he zone but gaining entry is a whole different battle for this team. It might be time to get mattson on the top unit. Kid can dish it.

Not overly impressed with the win. Once again the boys got up and almost lost. They need to come out tomorrow flying and get the sweep.

By top 4 I was referring to the top 4 defensemen. Still is not accurate though.

Agree 100%....Bucci is a decent guy. FYI, he gets the different terms (thin mints, etc) because the players use them a lot. He follows college hockey which is extremely rare. I give him a pass too.

On Beyond the Pond yesterday, Patrick Ruesse (sp?) said he would take the Wilds top 4 over any other team's in the league. Funny stuff.

Probably, although I think he'll be a regular. Olson and Simo came in a tough situation as we have more seniors than we typically have. I honestly pinned Olson as a regular; still shocked he's not back in the lineup. Both those guys see plenty of playing time at most other schools.

On a side note, I really like Joel Janatuinen's game. He's a bit older but he's skilled, having a really nice year in the the USHL.

Potentially.....but that Chartrand kid gets more discussion on this forum than Shaw and I find that somewhat odd. However, in all honesty I don't follow the league that he plays in all that much.

Who's writing him off? The kid is really good. One of the best puck distributors in the USHL (the best NA junior A league). He should make an impact. Regarding Ladue, i also believe he was like +40 that year. Played in all positions. Not sure if shaw is as defensive as Ladue was. But to your point, Shaw is doing this at a younger age.

What if Caggs were to take a career ending concussion next year? Believe me I want him to stay....because I want UND to be the best they can be next year. Now if I were him, I may take the money. The signing bonus plus the AHL money is still good money compared to what he'd be earning in an entry level contract. It will soley depend on where he feels he is with his development and what more he needs to work on. Gregoire was done with school and I am not sure one more year of college hockey would have materially changed the outcome on his hockey career. It is what it is with him.

That may be a stretch. Jason was pretty dang good; hockeydb him. Pretty useful player.

It's the system they are playing when they are up. They lay back and put all the pressure on the tendy. Trapping only works when you hustle to loose pucks.
