  1. Exactly. It worked out this year but an interesting oppurtunity presented itself.
  2. Oh yeah, good point. Just like tyler vessel last year. Regarding your "stat sheet" comment, I definitely realize that however maybe that's why we haven't had a forward average a point per game in 4 years . In all seriousness I'm fine with this as he's a depth guy an Hak must like him for a reason. Just curious that's all.
  3. I'm still curious why they didn't go with a kid from either the Ushl or the Bch, because there appears to be some decent kids still uncommitted.
  4. He's 20 right now. He's about to age out of juniors.
  5. Agreed I liked gaarders role, I was just saying he got his opportunity to get in the lineup earlier than most NA kids. By practice squad I wasn't trying to knock him I just think it is such a tough jump from the NA to nchc hockey that first year. Your right though, it's nice to have hard working over agers play a bottom six role. I definitely think these kids are valuable in the junior senior years if they develope.
  6. Maybe, but remember gaarder was literally a last second replacement and only initially got in due to the mounting injuries that year; he obviously made the most out of his opportunities. Mario came from the ushl and also had family ties. You're right about Pattyn.
  7. Sounds like a practice squad guy. Someone must be leaving.
  8. Agreed for the most part. I do think Jordan is all but gone, like 99% gone. We have Shaw and Wolanin coming in next year and I honestly can barely imagine one of them sitting out a year. We would have such a logjam on the point I would guess one of Shaw or Wolanin would go somewhere else. I would obviously like J. Schmaltz to come back though.
  9. It seems that our boys wait until finals are over if they are signing. Not sure why some of them, or at least one of them, hasn't said they are staying. Regarding J. Schmaltz, he must be waiting until school is done.
  10. Wasn't he a senior?
  11. Haha I like it.
  12. I thought fishers always held that title?
  13. Never said I agreed with the names you listed however coming from GF I can tell you rough riders sounds just as silly and out there considering red river has had it forever. I haven't ran into anyone from GF fond of that idea.
  14. How do you even say it?
  15. Please no. I am shocked it has had this much traction.
  16. H. Shaw leading the USHL playoffs in total points so far...from the point. 6 pts in 3 games. I could be wrong but I think he had the highest pts per game average for dmen in the league as well.
  17. Oh yeah, he was a senior. I initially thought you were referring to an underclassman signing. UNO should be pretty solid next year.
  18. Who have they lost?
  19. Haha, ok. I laughed to myself when I read it.
  20. http://www.grandforksherald.com/news/3724522-und-nickname-committee-outlines-plan-narrowing-down-suggestions I wonder how Kelly won that bid.
  21. 1. No name 2. Fighting Sioux
  22. Yeah I saw that in the article too. Why would hall of famer rob Blake come all the way out here....to get the kid signed. Full court press.
  23. I'm starting to think ladue signs...the Kings sent rob Blake to gf. How does a kid not take the bait.
  24. I don't think of it as a loss because I think this kid was going minny the entire time (given that he had an offer). From a recruit standpoint he's top notch however I get nervous taking these kids so young and given he's produced those awesome stats in a terrible mn conference. I always like to see what our commits do in one of the top junior leagues. Too many times kids dominate in high school only to flop in the ushl. I agree with the other poster that the mismash and boeser commits soften the loss of this kid.
  25. Jaxon Nelson to the gophs, kind of expected.
