I think this might have been the worst selection in recent memory. All the good MN kids were cut. Vandertop was near the top in points and he got cut. Weird deal. They will get absolutely slaughtered by Canada this year.

I’m thinking they’d bring in Simpson before Schultz but you never know. I wouldn’t be opposed to that too. Both are more offensive in nature/proto top 6/pp guys. They obv wouldn’t see those roles at UND next season. Which is why juniors is the ideal location. I actually think Swanson will have a great year. He needs to be top 6 from day 1, until he shows he’s not there yet.

I honestly think Mortone is a total long shot. I’m assuming the back up plans know they’ll be back up plans. That’s fine. Our current roster is solid.

Agreed. He’s going after a couple of guys and I’m sure there’s a backup plan and those guys are waiting.

Liv has actually done great on the PP from my end. His O numbers are solid. That’s why (to me) this could be a really tough call.

In all honesty…Verhoeff is going to be a top 4 dman. He also will probably need to be on the PP. Not sure how this will all work with Liv and Wiebe, but this kid the bluest of blue chips. They don’t play secondary roles.

Agreed. He’ll have a better/older supporting cast. I believe (generally) there may higher scoring in the Big10. I’ll say low to mid 60s

It’s definitely the latter from my angle….but the difference, only time will tell. I mean, this just changed and many of the very best nhl players went from the CHL leagues to the NHL. He probably just doesn’t feel like going to class.
