Sandy’s greatest recruiting tool is that he’s never pulled a scholly on a player. Parents/kids love that; there’s a sense of security. UND, MN and most other blue bloods pull schollys left and right (sometimes deserved if the player doesn’t keep developing). Fairly tough to compete in this new world if you’re overly loyal.

I believe the tryouts are underway. Either spot is solid, however I would be extremely shocked if he were not on the Prep team.

Super smart move. This kid can play. At the very worst he’s a 5-6 Dman that can defend and will play 3-4 years. Can’t miss the local guys.

They’ve been out for a while

Grubb should be in Brandon after this year. He’ll have a big year at SSM this year and if he has a nice year at Brandon the year following, he could be a first rounder.

Broden McArthur to the goofs…gotta give them credit. Really nice class so far.

He’ll work his way up this year. He’s always been a top 3 kid…grew a ton and I believe he’s figuring out his body again.

Would be colossal…but I had really good info he was headed to a rival of ours. That was a while ago though. Bryn also taught Freddie at BA…so they know each other well.

The portal transfers, etc We’re kind of seeing the recruiting direction this team is going. Besides the full blown blue chips, they’re taking bigger two way guys that can skate. I have never thought of Boomer as the very best in the 09 MN crop but he’s always in that tier and he’s been on some really good teams. Also a captain at LI speaks to that side of things. Go let him play two years in the Dub and let’s see how things shake out.

Interesting. I’ve seen Boomer play a lot. Solid player, good size. I wouldn’t pin him as a high high ender…but it’ll be interesting to see how he does in the dub this year.
