  1. Nope, there are what they are. Avg team
  2. But he was the one losing all the pucks. Agree, he needed to be out there. But given how the game was going with that line, I would have had Pyke out there with Blake and gaber.
  3. The last few games (that I’ve watched) Blake is holding onto pucks way too long. He extremely skilled, but he’s turning over pucks constantly. With his vision he should be moving pucks quickly. He does have decent possession skills, but he walks the line so much that he misses multiple plays each sequence. He won’t make the next level if he doesn’t move pucks quicker. Biggest bonehead play of the game was that HJ penalty when we were a man up. That can never happen. He should get pulled off the pp for a game or two after that one.
  4. James needs a longer leash…that is serious burst
  5. HS hockey can be smoke and mirrors. It’s a solid baseline…and fun. The communities all get into it. But some of these players have the easiest schedules…they also play the entire game. Numbers can be significantly misleading.
  6. He’s also taken off a bit since his commitment. Presently….sure I’d like him 100%. But he committed last year.
  7. My guess is…at the very least 3. It’s pretty early. Also, D is really tough. He’s been a pleasant surprise for me. I watched him at the WJSS this past summer and I was thinking he may not even be in the lineup in year 1
  8. Yeah maybe. These bigger programs are in win now mode annually…unfortunately these are the outcomes. That’s why when a kid (like Eiserman) decommits, no one should overly frustrated…at least lately it seems to happen the other way around more frequently.
  9. Whoa…his dads a hockey guy. Guessing he forced it. The BC (especially playing in Penticton with such a stacked team) won’t push him very much at all, as he’s really old. It will be interesting to see how he comes in. I just wouldn’t look too much into the numbers because im assuming he’ll put up giant numbers. But again, Penticton is so much better than the other teams, not a ton of parity in the BC.
  10. Very odd. I would have liked to see his overall production in a much tougher league , but CR is offensively inept. Maybe he just wasn’t feeling it. Obviously his future numbers in the BCHL will be very inflated considering Penticton is a juggernaut. He should have fun there.
  11. Bonehead lapses were odd…crushed the tendys good save percentage
  12. A lot has to do with our goaltending. So far…he’s been very good. 92% + save percentage is exactly what we needed. Masks a lot of D breakdowns. But…PP has to get going. Also, some guys need to get going.
  13. If only he could learn how to hold the blue line . Boy he had a rough time last night. But…I do like his game.
  14. Big win last night! Boys won’t be able to let off the gas tonight. Full 60
  15. Because he either wasn’t good enough or didn’t get the extended look. He made the right choice (obviously). I get the whole “earn your spot” stance…but this guy isn’t getting any younger. It was beyond time for a fresh start.
  16. He thought he was coming in the whole season. From what I’ve heard. Second hand though.
  17. Basically all the big schools. Those schools you listed were in the discussion. But I will say, sometimes It has to be done. If “said” recruit isn’t developing or putting in the work. Sometimes tough decisions have to be made. I was more shocked when this guy randomly named dropped Sandy has never pulling a spot/scholly from a commit. I’m guessing that’s a great recruiting tool if I’m a parent of a player.
  18. When everyone around you is going to a certain level, the team has told you the entire year what the plan is…and then the plan changes at the 12th hr…sometimes you have to take a hard look at what’s going on. Kid wanted to play college puck and he chose to do so. Zero fault whatsoever on the kid. Doesn’t change my thoughts on the program or coaching staff as a whole…just a bad situation all around. Interesting info I just heard from an advisor…Sandy has never went back on his word, or pulled an offer. Pretty crazy if true. He told me the worst offenders and it’s interesting to say the least. I can’t corroborate this info, just what I heard from one guy.
  19. …and that’s the beauty of agreeing to disagree
  20. Did Strathmann already sign his NLI sometime last year?
  21. We can agree to disagree on the “in the stands” comment.
