And don't even try to bring up Wisconsin as they have a LOT more flexibility in their schedule so it was very easy for them to hold space open.

Gophers are home Friday against Mankato and then on the road for 5 straight, 1 in Mankato and then St Cloud and UW.

This cant be true. Lucia and the Gophers ended UND's season in 2002 and last year so there's 2 wins right there.

Great post! It's just crazy for Sioux fans to claim the Minnesota program never supported the others in our state. They simply don't realize how important it was to make sure the U keeps playing those schools, far more important than playing UND.

I would recommend against this actually. The reason is that once they're kicked out of someone's seats by that time there wont be much more to choose from if any in the standing room. There wont be empty seats in the arena once we're ten minutes into the game. I would get there early, find the best standing room spot you can and don't move.

I think those numbers are too high. There are Gopher fans buying up a lot of these tickets too, not just Sioux fans. Like I said before there will be a lot of UND fans there as there always is.

I have no idea what the actual number will be but UND always brings more visiting fans to Mariucci than anyone else.

You're saying the U was opposed to those schools going D-1 and joining the WCHA?

When SCSU, then Mankato, and then Bemidji decided to go Div 1 the U was very vocal and adamant about their support for those schools. You think playing someone is the only way to support them? There are so many things you dont think about. The gophers all these years have had 4 non-conference games a year locked in with the Mariucci Classic and the College Hockey Showcase. They simply didn't have as much space to schedule these schools like UND did. Sioux fans on this board think this situation is black and white when in reality there is so much more to it than they even realize.

I've never seen Fire Helmet Guy once be disrespectful on this board. He even added a wink to his post, not sure why you felt the need to call him a name.
