You know this how? It's not like the shots were 50-25 in favor of UND and the Gophers won simply because they have a better goalie. The Gophers are better than UND at every position. I can't believe I'm even posting on womens hockey.
-
That made no sense to me when they did that. They are a school specifically representing the city of St Cloud, not the state of Minnesota. It reminded me of when Sertich had UMD put a block M on their shoulders years ago. Just sad attempts from our little sister programs.
-
Shots are 41-11 and scoring chances 19-4.
-
Don't forget overcoming the anti UND refs as well.
-
Haula and Knight could've easily gotten first team but then who do you leave off? Too many good players to pick from.
-
You shouldn't care what I think but you should at least care to make sense and not contradict yourself with your own picks, which is what you did.
-
Nevermind you just don't get it. If you honestly can't see why your picks are illogical then I can't help you.
-
Dude it's not complicated, your picks simply dont make sense. Your opinion is that the two best goalies in the league are rookies yet you put NEITHER on the all rookie team. It's a homer selection with no basis in reality.
-
Just checked out Goon's picks. Williams and Wilcox first and second team goalies(both rookies) but yet Gothberg is the goalie on the all rookie team?
-
Fair post. He's 6th in the league for goal scoring though which I do believe should at least get him third team especially when you consider his overall game.
-
Don't get me wrong, he's had a slightly disappointing season production wise but I don't think it's lack of effort by any means. 20 goals is pretty good but I thought coming into the season he might have a Vanek or Ryan Potulny type goal scoring season. Much like Knight though points don't tell the whole story. He wins face-offs and is responsible defensively. He certainly hasn't earned first team honors though, I agree with that.
-
I've watched almost every game of Bjugstad's Gopher career and I couldn't disagree more with you. This isn't Jordan Schroeder were talking about here. His effort has never once been a problem.
-
These look real good to me. Ciskie putting Knight third team is a joke. Should be interesting to see who wins DOTY between Schmidt and Jensen.

If UND wins the Final Five I think both teams get a #1 seed. Im no pairwise expert but it sounds like from the people who really understand it that as long as the Gophers just make it to St Paul they have a lock on a #1 seed. -
Its our cup til another team takes it. Of course the Cup itself should be in the possession of the reigning champ as long as they can defend it. I expected the cup to be in Bemidji at the start of the night.
-
It feels good to own the league the last two years of the league.
-
Already posed with the cup in the locker room and took pics. Should i post em? Back to back!

WCHA champs!!

The outcome of last night's basketball game was as predictable as UND hockey losing in April. The win over Indiana didn't fool me one bit.
-
Well I did mean what I said. It's sad leaving the WCHA but one positive is that my school will no longer be associated with the Nebraska Omaha's and Alaska Anchorage's of the world. You can call it arrogant all you want but you're not used to cheering for a Big Ten University like I am.
-
It was supposed to sound arrogant, it was a joke.
-
Man how I wish we could be in a conference with such well known national universities like Duluth, St. Cloud, Western Michigan, and Nebraska Omaha!
-
Seriously? Wow that's impressive, I don't care who the opponent is.
-
Well you can't deny what I said is true. Once PSU became D1 UW and MN literally had no choice. UND, DU, CC, etc did. I realize UND and DU did what they did in reaction to the Big Ten but they still had a choice in the matter and the Mankato's of the world realize this which is why they're bitter towards those schools.
-
I strongly disagree with your assesment of how this went down. Two teams MN and UW, had ZERO choice in the matter. They were FORCED to leave the WCHA which left the conference with ten teams which is a perfect number. Then teams who DID have a choice like UND and DU decided to bolt from the WCHA to start a new and completely unnecessary conference.
